BELTEI STUDY TOUR TO SAMBO PREY KUH TEMPLES

On Monday, June 17, 2013 the students of BELTEI International Institute attended the study tour to visit SAMBO PREY KUH that is the seventh-century ancient temple of Cambodia founded by the King Isanavarman 1. It was once of the capital of Chenla known as Isanapura, and was a religious center dedicated to the worship of Shiva.

Collectively, the complex consists of more than a hundred temples built of solid bricks, late-rite and sandstone and from the remains. It is understood that several successions of Kings have maintained this site as their capital, each time adding more temples and monuments to the capital city.

At the time, there were three campuses to attend the study tour such as BELTEI 7, BELTEI 8, and BELTEI 2. For BELTEI 8 (BELTEI Pochengtong), there were 86 students of grade 12 to attend it. The buses arrived the school at 6:10am. The 86 students were divided into two groups (group 1 = 43 students and group 2 = 43 students). They got on the buses at 6:15am. Each bus has a list with the phone number of students and their guardians to be easy to manage.

The Study Tour started at 6:30am from BELTEI Tour where is located near the National Stadium. The buses arrived Skun, Kampong Cham province at 8:30am. They took a rest there 30 minutes. Then, the buses moved to Stoeng Sen, Kampong Thom province. The buses arrived there at 10:30am, and all the students had lunch at Arun Res (Sun Rise Restaurant).

After finishing lunch time at 11:30am, the buses moved Sambo Prey Kuh in order to visit the representative of the residents to ask some questions to get to know about the history of it.

The Study Tour turned back to Phnom Penh at 3:00pm, and they took a rest at Skun, Kampong Cham province for 30 minutes. Most of students were very happy. Some of them used their cameras to take photos to remind what they have done in the past event. It means all the grade 12 students will stop learning when they graduate in 2013. Some of them will study different universities; hence, they will not have more time to see each other as before.

When I wrote it on my website, I dropped my tears because I was thinking about them what they have learned in my school for ages. We have a lot of good remembrances. Everything has changed every minute so that we can't stop the time although I love my students so much. However, I do hope they will become the columns of the country. They will be able to develop our country. Thinking to this points, I had a bit smile coming from my heart because they are the positive of my thinking for my life.

Dear all students,
I would like to tell you that I love you all. All of you are still in my heart. You are my moral force to push me to work because you can complete my willing to develop our country. I really don't want to see my country to live in war anymore. I love peace that is full of knowledge in our society.

Dreaming To See King Norodom Sihanouk

A majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, a former of Cambdian King, passed away in Beijing at the age of 90, I dreamed to see him. He was riding a boat to trip around Koh Poh island where is in Sihanouk province on Tuesday, March 18, 2013 at :4:15am.

When he arrived home from the traveling on the sea, he lied on a simple bed in a small house. In front of the house is a small farm with jack-fruit trees and a small shelter.

I entered his home and kneed down with my two hand to salute him. I told him that I am a son of Mr. Ngov Kim Lon who has worked for the government in the cabinet of Prime Minister during his regime. He nodded his head without saying to give a signal that he knew my father so clear.

Meeting him in his room about 5 minutes, I raised my hand to see my watch. Then I asked him to leave his room with sorrowful and pity on him to see him continue to lay on the bed with the pale face. At that time I dropped my tears and went around the check his home in order to make sure that there wasn't any thief or crooked people to harm him.

With a deep sorrowful and dropping my tears, it made me wake up recently. Hence, I slept nothing because I was thinking about him until I went to work at 6:15am in the morning.

Got Luxus 300 from H.E. Director-General

Last Sunday, August 12, 2012 I got a call from my H.E. Ly Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group to tell me and Mr. Ty Ta, a campus director of BELTEI 5 (BELTEI Kbal Thnal) to go to a garage to get a new car Luxus 300-2001 with the price $17,500.

When I got a call from him, I felt surprise because he asked me where am I. I informed him that I was at home. He also continued the question at home in Sihanouk province or at home in Phnom Penh. I informed him again that I was in Phnom Penh because I have never gone somewhere outside Phnom Penh without asking permission from him.

Then he continued make a conversation on the phone with me and Mr. Ty Ta about new cars (Luxus 300-2001) that he offered us. There are three cars were offered to BELTEI such as Mr. Ty Ta, a campus director of BELTEI 5, Mr. Ly Sopheap, a chief office of IT, and I. He told us to get the cars opposite the Mohamontrey pagoda where is a garage of cars to be bought.

After choosing the car at the garage, Mr. Ty Ta, Mr. Ly Sopheap, and I came back the Head-office to meet H.E. Director-General in his office. He was working so hard on Sunday to check all the documents that submitted by all 11 campuses last Saturday, August 11, 2012. Then he offered us the keys and Mr. Ros Paradise took some photos while he he was giving us the keys.

At that time, I said thanks to my H.E. Director-General and Lok Chumteav that offered me the new car and the other two of my colleagues. Then I came back my campus.

In the afternoon, I drove to play football at the Marine Head-quarter. We normally play football at 3:30pm for our health because H.E. Director-General has spent his money to rent to football field and water for us.

Sugar Increasing

This pic took before the sugar increasing on my blood.
My body was exhausted because of increasing the sugar in my body. I was being dizzy when I had meal or drank juice in the supper market (Ratanak Plazza) or (KFC at Attwood Center). For the first time, I didn't notice that the sugar in my body was increasing because the sugar normally has remained only 110 for a long time ago.

After getting dizzy many times while I was having meal, I went to check my blood especially the sugar and blood pressure. The results showed me that sugar was increased and my blood is viscous; hence, I decided to go to see a doctor at a private clinic to check my blood in order to make sure that I  really have the increasing sugar in my body.

On Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 8:45am, I has gone to one of a clinic where is near Psar Tmey market (New market) to check my blood. According the blood testing, my sugar increased 129 and the HBAIC1 was high, too. The doctor has suggested me to do the exercise everyday to decrease the sugar. Then he told me to check the HBAIC1 after 1.5 months. I have done exercise since I got a a prescription from the doctor.

This pic took on Saturday, July 28, 2012
Today is Friday, July 27, 2012. I have gone to a clinic where is near Tek Thla market to check my blood. The sugar increases 158 because I ate a lot of food such as cake, orange and grapefruit that why it increased. I have also checked HbA1c in order to make sure that how much the sugar in my blood. The doctor said that the result will be shown tomorrow so that I am waiting it until tomorrow morning.

This evening I am going to visit my mother coming from Sihanouk province to visit my sister, Kim Sopheap, who are living in Phnom Penh where is near Psar Dey Huy. My mother arrived home at 5:45pm with Sopheap and her husband. I arrived her home at 6:15pm to have dinner there. I was very happy to see my mummy because she lives in Sihanouk province; hence I am difficult to visit her because of my work in Phnom Penh.

In the morning, I have gone to the clinic to get the result of HbA1c. It showed me the result is 5,9% it means the sugar remains in my blood is 123 (increases 13%), but I not yet face with the blood glucose. The doctor told me to do exercise regularly in order to decrease it. Here is a list of HbA1c test and estimated average Glucose (mg/dl).

I was very happy to get this result although my glucose is increased in my blood, but I don't face the illness yet.

Commune Election Day

On Sunday, June 3, 2012 was the commune election day for Cambodia country. I am one of them who attended that event.

My ordinal number is 59 and the office number 0188 where is opposite the Sihanouk monument and on the left side of traffic police office.

In the early morning at 6:00am, I got up and took a bath in order to be ready for my voting.

I was there at 6:45am. There were only few people to be there so that I asked the election committees to help me to check my name.

When I saw mind on the list, I recorded the ordinal number, office number, and I saw my ID card to the election committees to check my name on their list. Then they handed me a voting paper.

I left the office to take some photos at the voting office. I asked a motodop (a person who uses his own motorcycle to take someone and get paid) to take some snap of photos.
I was standing in front of the election office after I have voted for one of a party in Sihanouk province. It is the important day for all Cambodian people to use their rights on the voting.

Then, I met Mr. Kong Samoeun, a chief of CPP Party of Sihanouk city (a former chief of CPP Party of Mittapheap District). I shook his hand and said hello to him.

One of the Sihanouk City Hall department asked me about my parents and asked me where I am living at the moment.

I told them that I have lived in Phnom Penh, and I am working for BELTEI International Institute as a campus director of BETEI 8 near Pochengtong market.

After I chatted with them about 10 minutes, I asked the motodop to take me to Theng Hai restaurant because I would like to meet some friends as I have known for along time while I was living in Sihanouk province.

When I arrived there, I walked to the coffee shop and stood in front of it to take s snap by my Iphone 4s. I was sitting opposite a black motorcycle that was parking in opposite the coffee shop.

I have met a lot of friends who came from the voting as like as me, and some others were waiting for the afternoon because it was starting from 7:00am to 3:00pm so that they have enough time to vote on that day.

We were chatting about that special event because some people have estimate about results of election that would know in the evening for the first step.

Having coffee and chatting with friends about 30 minutes, I visited my parents. My father was sitting outside home when he came back from voting. My mother was attending the vote and went to the market to buy some foods for lunch. I was standing outside his home with my father to chat about the situation that have been taking place in Cambodia. Especially, most of Cambodian people were supporting Samdech Dechor Hun Sen, a Prime Minister of Cambodia. My father and I made a prediction that CPP Party would win that election again because of his leading is going to the right way, and people are confident on his leading, too.

Chatting round 1 hour with my father, I asked him to come back home because it was my lunch time. I ride on motodop to my home. My wife bought kind of salt water crab for lunch. I had lunch with my wife and my children. Then I moved to my bed to read news on my Ipad2 especially about the commune election.

In the afternoon around 4:00pm, I took my wife around the Sihanouk province to visit some places that are developing the new constructions near the beach.

First, I went to O-Chhoer-Teal beach. The place where is coming from the north of the Two Golden Lions. I drove to the middle road (on the left side is the road to Sokha Motel and on the right side is to the road to Seaside Hotel or White Sand Beach Hotel.

When I rode my motorcycle there, I saw a road that have been constructed and the both sides of the road are full of houses and shops were run by Cambodian people and foreigners.

On the both sides of the road there are new constructions, and there are a lot of foreigners have run their business such as restaurants, hotels, guest house, etc.

They have good experiences to decorate their shops and more attractive. Some of foreigners were sitting and drinking beer, wine, juice, and some others were surfing the net with their laptops and Ipad etc.

I couldn't stand it to stop my motorcycle to take a snap because that was a isolate area. Before the year 1992, there were only a few houses to be built, for only the poor people who didn't have money to buy land that was near the market or downtown.

On that time, there was a trail that the smugglers always imported the illegal goods from Thailand by boats and they escaped from the police and custom agents. Sometimes they brought the people who were willing to go to the third country (USA) by boats, too.

I was one of them who patrolled on that trail to watch the smugglers. We were very difficult to ride our motorcycles on it because it was a bumpy road and mud when it rained.

Now, I can see good houses, shops, hotels and good road that have just been constructed that is easy for people to use their transportation on it.

We can also see the smiling people (Cambodian and foreigners) who are living there. On the other hand, it becomes a resort area for local and foreigner tourists to visit there.

I parked my motorcycle and locked it. Then my wife and I walked directly on a small port that was built for a tour boats to embark there.

There is a ticket collector place to check or sell the boat tickets who want to get on boats to travel to island such as Koh Pos (Snake Island), Koh Thas (Tray Island), Koh Rong Sanloeum (Rong Island that can see lightly because it is far from the beach). etc.,

Here is a thatch-roofed house. It is used to sell food and drink for people who are willing to sit on the port to see the good views and get fresh air and have meal and drink on the air chairs that was made by rattan.

On the other hand, they can also use their fishing rod to fish in the sea. They just sit on the rattan chairs with their fishing rod with relax position to catch the sea fish.

I saw a few people who were holding fishing rod to fish in the sea. They used squid as a bait.

I saw two people who were sitting at the edge of the port with their fishing rod. They used squid meat as a bait to fish. Each of them had two or the fishing rods.

While they were fishing, they smoke cigarettes and they were looking to the lid Koh Rong Island with their hopeful sights.

It is my favorite because I always go to fish when I am free from work. When I was working in Sihanouk province as a police man, I went to Koh Pos to fish. I was able to catch a lot of fish for my three times meal such as breakfast, lunch, and lunch times.

I asked a fisher to borrow his fishing rod to fish. Luckily, I spent only 5 minutes, I was able to catch a sea fish. It was jerking my fishing line two times. Then I snagged my fishing rod. Suddenly, there was a fish appeared from the sea water.

I told my wife to take s snap. But, it wasn't clear so that I decided to delete it just kept a picture that I was standing to fish on the edge of the port only.

After fishing about 5 minutes, I asked my wife to take snaps. I sat on the rattan arm chairs with my Ipad2 by using my Iphone 4s to take them. My wife didn't know how to take picture, so I have to instruct her two or three times the way how to do it.

My photo was taken three or four times because of the reason have been told above.

My wife and I took one hour for taking fresh air and looking good views. Then, I attempted to the National Port. We turned back to the same 7 Makara boulevard to the east, and we entered the GST bus office to buy a ticket to Phnom Penh to morrow morning at 7:30am on Monday, June 4, 2012. It costed 17,000 riels.

Then I continued my riding motorcycle to the National Port.

There were some Sihnouk province dwellers were having hot dogs, drinking sugarcane juice because they like to get the blowing wind from the sea. I was also sitting there to take fresh air about 30 minutes. I saw a big ship was embarking at the port, so I took my Iphone 4s to snap a picture. I came back home at 8:48pm in the evening.

I prepared everything to be ready for my trip tomorrow morning because I didn't want to forget things when I am starting my trip, for it was my habit.

In my bed room, I was surfing the net on DAP News website, I saw the first results of commune election. The CPP Party won a lot of seats in Cambodia, and the second was Sam Rangsy Party, and the third is Funcinpec Party. As my father and I have estimated about the results in the morning.

It was the end of the Commune Election Day!!!

A Party of Mr. Kev Savuth's Daughter

LENG Sopichvotey is a youngest daughter.
LENG Sopichvotey was born on May 27, 2008. She is a youngest daughter of Mr. Kev Savuth and Mrs. Uy Thida who have worked for BELTEI International Institute (BELTEI Pochentong).

The party was held on Sunday, May 27, 2008 in their home (a small village) where is located in Chamkar Ovlek, Sangkat Kakab, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh capital.

Mr. Kev Savuth and Mrs. Uy Thida invited some of Campus Directors as like as Mr. Kim Vireak, a campus director of BELTEI 8, Mr. Phan Sorya, a campus director of BELTEI 7, and Mr. Nuon Horn, a campus director of BELTEI 10, and some of deputy campus directors and also some of their closed friends.

I was sitting with them and I took my iphone 4s to take photo.
When I arrived Mr. Kev Savuth's home, I saw some of Khmer teachers and deputy directors in charge of Khmer general education. They were having beer and foods. Normally, there are 10 people to sit round the round table.

So, I have to wait for the other 9 people for a new table. Yet, I didn't want to wait for them because it was 5:02pm so that I was attending this table, so there were 11 people.

We were chatting about our school and some information that concerns with the society, I took my Iphone 4s to take LENG Sopichvotey photo because I would like to post her history on my website. On the other hand, I found that it will be useful for her when she grows up.

They were chatting something for fun.
The party was continuing until 6:15pm. There were some other teachers and deputy directors arrived. Mr. Kev Savuth invited them to sit at the second table. I took my beer glass to welcome them before the other guests would come.

Mr. Kev Savuth, his wife, and his relatives were serving food and beer to the guests. We were happy at that occasion because we have considered them as our relatives (BELTEI Family) so that we could chat freedom. The dish that was on the table was a salad with mix-vegetable and shrimp. It is a popular first dish for Cambodian people because we can drink beer and have it before the other dishes.

They are BELTEI 8 staffs at BELTEI Pochentong.
About 15 minutes, there were BELTEI 8 staffs arrived the party. They are Miss. Heng Linda, a deputy director in charge of accounting, Miss. Houn Channavy, in charge of cashier, Miss. Chea Vannary, in charge of student information, Miss. Chhun Pheakdey, a level 2-G2 ESL teacher, Mrs. Uy Phalla, in charge of cashier at BELTEI 7, Mrs. Phuong Danet, a preschool 1-G2.

They were waiting for four more guest to complete the table. They were happy to attend that party because it was Sunday so that they weren't worry the working time because it was a day off of them.

Mr. Bou Borann gave a short speech.
The party was continuing until 9:15pm. Mr. Bou Borann, a deputy campus director of BELTEI 10, waas holding a microphone and gave a short speech before cutting the cake birthday.

Most of the participants were standing and applaud to welcome her birthday.

Mr. Kev Savuth and Mrs. Uy Thida were standing behind their daughter.
She felt exciting to see the people around her because she was in the young age.

The speech of Mr. Bou Borann with the meaningful. After giving a speech, he invited Mr. Kev Savuth, a father of LENG Sopichvotey to note the birthday event.

He said thank to all the guests who were attending her birthday party, and he also wish all the guests long age, pedigree, happiness, and healthy. We applauded again after his short speech finished.

The sparkled incense sticks and the Happy Birth song started the same time.
After the speech of Mr. Bou Borann and Mr. Kev Savuth, it was the time to cut the birthday cake. The participants were standing around the Leng Sopichvotey and hold the sparkled incense sticks.

The Happy Birthday Song were playing and the guests were standing around the her to hold the sparkled incense sticks in order to welcome LENG Sopichvotey's birthday.

First of all, she felt scare the sparkling of incense sticks. Then, she felt happy and smile to the people around her especially the Happy Birthday Song that is more popular to the people around the world.

When the event was finished, the guests came back their table and continue to talk many topics that have been concerned with their daily lives. For me, I told Mr. Kev Savuth to leave home earlier because I am not good at drinking and I were a little dizzy.

My weekend came to the end!!!
