CHINESE NEW YEAR IN SINGAPORE AND MALAYSIA

Day 2: February 1, 2014
In the early morning all the BELTEI Team Leaders had breakfast at Johr-Bahru restaurant before continuing to trip the other places. When I woke up around 6:15am, My Buth Dimang and I went down the ground-floor to wait for my colleagues in order to have breakfast together.

Normally, Mr. Buth Dimang and I got up early and we went down to the ground floor to wait for our colleagues.

We were sitting on the sofa around 15 minutes, I saw Mr. Morn Samear and his wife arrived the breakfast hall so that we walked around the long desks which was kept many kind of foods. We chose some of the favorite meals for us, then we moved to the place to sit together.

I was curious because I really wanted to know about Singapore; hence, I decided to ask one of a girls who are serving that restaurant. I use English to communicate with her. I spent 10 minutes to dialogue with her. One word that made me strange was he is a Korean girl. She is a graduated student with the fields of accounting. She said she come to Singapore to work for earning experiences because that country has a lot of tourists. She would like to meet many people that were coming from different countries. Therefore, she could get experiences from them.

The conversation finished, I moved to sit one of the tables that my friend were having breakfast. We discuss about the society in Singapore and we also compared to our country, Cambodia. Suddenly, there was a man looks like Indian. I started the questions again because I think that he is a tourist as well. When we started the conversation, he introduced himself. He is a Pakistan person.

He was working for that hotel, too. He added that most of the people working here aren't Singaporean because the Singapore citizen need high salary. Talking to this point, I was thinking about ASIAN Integration in the near future (the year 2015). I am worrying about the knowledge (skillful) that Cambodian students graduated every year, and most of them don't have enough experiences to enter the globalization. They will lost their jobs because some of them don't care about their learning, and they don't like reading to gain knowledge, too.

After breakfast, we moved to visit a Diamond Industry in Singapore. It is a big and famous in Singapore. Most of tourists will invite to visit it, and some of them could buy the jewellery for their souvenir. For me, I just looked around to see and took some photos in it. One of the security guards came to inform me that taking photo isn't allowed. So, I stopped do it, but I had some of photos that I had just taken on my iPhone. We spent 25 minutes to visit it.

Then we moved to the Merion Park to take some photos because all the passengers have never missed this place. It is a symbol of Singapore country. There are many folk tale about the Mer Lion.

Fist we climbed to the hill to see the good view of Singapore. All of us took photos there. I felt good when I arrived to top of the hill because I could smell the natural adored trees of the mountain. It made me remind my home in Sihanoukville because I have always climbed to the mountain to watch the view of the mountain and the sea. A main who was standing near is Mr. Som Muny, a Dean of BELTEI International Institute University.

Then we moved to Mer-Lion where is the popular place for the tourists to take photos. A tour guide told us that the water that coming out of the mer-lion with the curve shape, it means the money come out and hook the other money to come back. It is belief of Singaporean people.

I asked my friend, Mr. Buth Dimang, to take photos for me. Then I took turn to take photo for him. The weather was hot at that time so that people couldn't stand there for long time. They just took some photos then they looked for the shadow place such as under the bridge or in the coffee shop where had the air-conditioners.

At 10:45am the tour-guide informed us to move to the supper market to have lunch. We had buffet there. I ate only a little bit food because I was worried about my illness during my trip.

I also didn't want to annoy people around me because my respectful parents always remind me how to adopt situation particularly I have to be ready such as Sleep, Walk, Stand, and Sit (The Buddhist Theory) which my daddy always uses it to educate me. I am easy to adopt the situation although it is in a hard condition because I have trained myself since I was 9. When I accompanied with my parents to somewhere, they always remind me to be ready such as go to the WC, check and control the things that I need to bring along with me. It become my habit so that I didn't make trouble with people around me when I travel to somewhere.

The lunch time took about 1 hour and the haft. I left with my friend Mr. Buth Dimang and the other friends to look for the wifi internet in order to contact my family and friends living in Cambodia. Hence, my family and friends have never missed the contact because they also use the smart phone, too.

Then we moved to the Chinese Town to pray to the god there. This is a church in the central of China Town. My boss, my colleagues, and I entered the church to light the incense sticks to pray to the god to help us with safe trip and lucky this year.

CHINESE NEW YEAR IN SINGAPORE AND MALAYSIA

Day 1: December 31, 2013

This pic took at the Pochentong airport, Cambodia after check-in.
Every year, the BELTEI Team Leaders led by H.E. Ly Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group and also a President of BELTEI International University, to trip abroad in Asia. For this year, he led us to visit Singapore and Malaysia.

There are 13 campuses of BELTEI International Institute and 1 BELTEI International University of management teams to accompany with him and his family.

This photo was taken in the plane.
Before moving to the Pochentong airport, all the management teams had breakfast about 20 minutes at one of a restaurant at the north-west. Then we moved to the Pochentong airport.  My Ratha and We were waiting for check-in about 30 minutes, the flight took off.

Mr. Dy Chanratha and I were sitting at the waiting room near the gate where we were going to get in the flight. One of my team leaders took that photo for us. When the flight took off, all the passengers were not allowed to turn on their devices such as phone, iPad, computer, camera etc.

I was sitting on the right side of the flight. On my left side there are three people, Mr. Seng Ky, a campus director of BELTEI 12, Lok Chum Teav Ly Chheng, and H.E. Ly Ly Chheng, but the camera couldn't take his photo.

I strongly missed a good friend who bought this T-shirt for me.  I really wanted her to get to know I wore it, and I took this photo to show her.

My boss and I took at the Changi International airport.
She is so kind although we are just simple friends. She spent her time to buy some shirt and T-shirt for me before I would flight to Singapore and Malaysia. On the other hand, she also bought a testing glucose for me when she has known my glucose is over dose around 122 to 125.

At 12:15pm, we arrived at Changi International Airport. I was allowed to take a photo with my H.E. Ly Chheng in the airport. All the management teams kept moving to forward in order to wait for checking-out. Some of us took photos at the airport area because we found that the decoration is more interesting.

We were waiting for some of our management teams at a place in the airport because we would continue to check-out, but unluckily, there were some of management teams were absent. Our H.E. Ly Chheng asked the tour guide about them. One of the tour guide also didn't know where were they; hence, my boss ordered a tour guide to look for them.

This photo was taken on the bus after leaving the airport.
Some of management teams said they got diarrhea, so they went to the bathroom. About 15 minutes, the tour guide still couldn't find them, and the time was moving fast. We were worried about the missing people.

My boss wasn't happy at that time, but he kept patient. For the last minute, my boss made up his mind to led some of us to the check-out. Luckily, we saw them at the check-out gate. Our boss gave a strong advise to them especially to the tour guides because the BELTEI Tour is processing inbound and outbound. Therefore, he didn't want to have some error when it is processing.

A younger brother was on the right side is Mr. Nguon Ratana, an administration office chief at BELTEI International University (BIU). The bus was moving to a restaurant.

We were in a local restaurant to have lunch in Singapore.

It was strange when we were at a local restaurant in Singapore for our lunch time because all the staffs in there weren't happy.  The restaurant was preparing to close, and all the staffs there welcome us with the wrinkle face, and some of them were being furious.

They didn't care their customers came to their restaurant. We looked our face each other and asked the same questions with the strange characteristics of them. At the end, we could find the reason why they were unhappy.

The reason why they did the bad act to us was the Chinese New Year because they need to meet their family to offer the food to the spirits of their grandparents or ancestors who passed way.

We weren't lenient with them because all the Chinese people need to follow their culture, for they
It was the first gate to enter to Santosa in Singapore.
found that they will earn much money after they offer the food to their grandparents or ancestors. They will help them back with making  more money to each family.

After having lunch at a funny restaurant, we kept moving to Sentosa Island where is a famous resort in Singapore. We could see the Image of Singapore, Under Water World, Casino at Resort World Sentosa, Marina Bay Sand, and Music Fountain at the Marina Bay.

The bus took us to the Sentosa. It is a hill that the government of Singapore makes it for resort. Some people always admire the Singapore is a cleaned country. It is true because this country is small. There are a lot of police to take responsibility to control all the people who didn't respect to the rules. This country is based on the National ports, tourists, etc. so that the government has to be strict on the environment especially all the trees aren't allowed to cut.

The Dolphin Show was in the Santosa resort.
When we arrived the Santosa resort, a Singaporean guide handed us the ticket to see the Dolphin Show. The the pool there were two dolphins and two otters. We spent at least half an hour for visiting the show. There were crowded to be there. Some of them came from Cambodia, Vietnam, China, that I have heard their conversation at that time.

The two dolphins was obeyed their order because of food. It means a woman  who was in the photo was carrying small fishes to hand to the dolphins after they followed what she wanted them to do. On the other hand, the dolphins can also know the signal from the woman.

I was one of the visitors who didn't have the space for sitting because there were crowded. I was standing under the hot sunshine with a camera of iPhone 5 to take the view. Some people were using iPad, digital cameras in order to take it, too.

The pic was taken under the sea water (in the tunnel).
The show was ended with the cheer of visitors, they were stepping of the showing area and moved to the Under Water World.

We, BELTEI management team took a rest in front of the souvenir selling store. My boss told one of his assistant to buy coffee, fresh water, and juice for us because of the weather was too hot, and we were thirsty, too.

Then we continued to visit the under water tunnel to see many kind of fishes. The iPhone 5 camera wasn't
clear enough because it was dark in there. I am the one who are living near the sea (Sihanouk province), but I sometimes have never seen the other kind of fishes that I saw them. It is interesting to see the sea fishes under the tunnel.

We couldn't standstill because there were the other visitors were queuing. Hence, we must keep moving forward.

BLOOD GLUCOSE

The first time that I start to treat Blood Glucose on Monday, August 27, 2013 after I went to see a doctor to check the blood glucose. The result showed me that I got illness.

On Sunday, August 25, 2013, I tripped to Prek Kdam (the road to Kampong Cham province) with my friend for my weekend. When we were there, we entered a small restaurant at 10:25am.

There are a few cottages behind the restaurant with the thatch-roof. Most of passengers love to have meal there because it is under the large lake of the river.

My friend and I decided to choose the last cottage because we could see the good scenery and took fresh air. We ordered chopped-fish-pasted with roast beef and Khmer sour soup. My friend also ordered two ABC beer for lunch time, too. I didn't drink it because I drank three cans of ABC yesterday night already so that I didn't want to take more beer on that day.

After having lunch with a good taste of Khmer food, we were lying on each hammock to talk about the past event that we both have met particularly somethings have happened when were were young.
We were talking about 30 minutes. Then, I went to the bathroom. When I left it, I asked one of the staffs of a restaurant to take photos for me.

We both came back home at 3:43pm. In the evening, one of my friend called me to have dinner together. I found that today is Sunday so that I accepted my friend's invitation. We went to have roast beef where was opposite the Paragone Supper Market until 8:15am. Then I took my friend home, and I also came back home.

On Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the morning, I felt dizzy when I woke up. I go to work as normal, but my healthy seemed strange. But, I tried to do exercise at the top floor of my school, for I thought that I drank much beer on Saturday last week. In the afternoon I went to work at 1:15pm as normal. When I were walking on the road to my school, I felt dizzy as like as in the morning. Hence, I decided to see a doctor in a clinic where is near my renting home. I asked him to check my blood glucose by a mini-machine. The result showed me that my glucose increased 271. It was unbelievable I found that the machine got error. However, I asked him to get my blood to test at the Laboratory. The biochemistry test such as glucose (sugar in the blood), Triglycerides (grease in the blood), and Hemoglobine Glycossylate (Hb A1C) to check for sure that I am really an illness person of blood glucose, then I moved to another clinic to check my glucose for the second time. The test was showed 121.

I left office at 7:30pm in the evening so that I went to get the test result from the clinic. The doctor showed me the Laboratory Result paper. Here were the results of blood testing:

Normally the glucose in the blood of human being from 75 to 115, but the glucose in my blood was 140.

The Triglycerides (grease in the blood from 60 to 150, but it was 258.

Hemoglobine Glycosylate (Hb A1c) from 4.5 to 6.4, but it was 7.6.

The results show me that the glucose was over dose so that the doctor decided me to take Metfamin Hydrocholorite to reduce glucose in my blood. I have to take 1 pill every evening after having dinner.

I wanted to make sure about it. I decided to see a doctor to discuss about my illness. Therefore, I spent my time from 7:15am to 9:30am to go to Lok Sang Hospital.

When I was there, I saw a lot of people who have the same illness to see doctors. A doctor gave me advice to take medicine three time a day. In the morning I have to take Vitaxon 500 mgs before I have breakfast (it is a kind of vitamin 12). After lunch time, I have to take a Metfamin Hydrocholorite and after dinner I also have to take one more. On the other hand, he said the Blood Glucose illness can't treat to recover just reduce glucose in the blood only. It means I have to take medicine the whole life and I should try to do exercise everyday. In fact I do exercise every evening after I have lunch and relax about 30 minutes, but I couldn't escape from it.

I was very upset because it is my first time to get serious illness. However, I thought that most of people got illness when the get old. I always remember a proverb of Napoleon said 'Life Is Struggle'.

BELTEI STUDY TOUR TO SAMBO PREY KUH TEMPLES

On Monday, June 17, 2013 the students of BELTEI International Institute attended the study tour to visit SAMBO PREY KUH that is the seventh-century ancient temple of Cambodia founded by the King Isanavarman 1. It was once of the capital of Chenla known as Isanapura, and was a religious center dedicated to the worship of Shiva.

Collectively, the complex consists of more than a hundred temples built of solid bricks, late-rite and sandstone and from the remains. It is understood that several successions of Kings have maintained this site as their capital, each time adding more temples and monuments to the capital city.

At the time, there were three campuses to attend the study tour such as BELTEI 7, BELTEI 8, and BELTEI 2. For BELTEI 8 (BELTEI Pochengtong), there were 86 students of grade 12 to attend it. The buses arrived the school at 6:10am. The 86 students were divided into two groups (group 1 = 43 students and group 2 = 43 students). They got on the buses at 6:15am. Each bus has a list with the phone number of students and their guardians to be easy to manage.

The Study Tour started at 6:30am from BELTEI Tour where is located near the National Stadium. The buses arrived Skun, Kampong Cham province at 8:30am. They took a rest there 30 minutes. Then, the buses moved to Stoeng Sen, Kampong Thom province. The buses arrived there at 10:30am, and all the students had lunch at Arun Res (Sun Rise Restaurant).

After finishing lunch time at 11:30am, the buses moved Sambo Prey Kuh in order to visit the representative of the residents to ask some questions to get to know about the history of it.

The Study Tour turned back to Phnom Penh at 3:00pm, and they took a rest at Skun, Kampong Cham province for 30 minutes. Most of students were very happy. Some of them used their cameras to take photos to remind what they have done in the past event. It means all the grade 12 students will stop learning when they graduate in 2013. Some of them will study different universities; hence, they will not have more time to see each other as before.

When I wrote it on my website, I dropped my tears because I was thinking about them what they have learned in my school for ages. We have a lot of good remembrances. Everything has changed every minute so that we can't stop the time although I love my students so much. However, I do hope they will become the columns of the country. They will be able to develop our country. Thinking to this points, I had a bit smile coming from my heart because they are the positive of my thinking for my life.

Dear all students,
I would like to tell you that I love you all. All of you are still in my heart. You are my moral force to push me to work because you can complete my willing to develop our country. I really don't want to see my country to live in war anymore. I love peace that is full of knowledge in our society.

On June 1, 2013 is the International Children's Day. H.E. I am one of the team leaders who attended on that occasion.

According the speech of president of country director of International Youth Fellowship (IYF) who is the head-office coming from the South Korea. He quoted that the purpose of the inauguration on that day is to share the culture in the world to Cambodian people especially Cambodian youths.

Ahead of the speech of H.E. Ly Chheng starting, the Volunteer Youth of Korean and BELTEI Students showed the Korean Traditional Dancing on the stage.

After hearing a speech of the country director, H.E. Ly Chheng, the Director-General of BElTEI Group, the Adviser to Council Ministry, and also the President of BIU, gave a valued speech to that event.

He mentioned that he really would like all Cambodian people enter through the Globalization so that they have to choose one of the international languages particularly English one because we can't use Khmer to communicate to the worldwide.

He added all Cambodian people are lucky to have Cambodia People Party (CPP) especially Samdech Hun Sen who is an hero to end the civil war that have had during King Norodom Sihanouk (King Father) until 1993.

Although the United Nation Transitional Authority in Cambodia called UNTAC managed to have the National Election in 1993, but the civil war was being continued until 1997. Samdech Hun Sen tried to find a formula to end the civil war by using Win Win Policy to integrate all the parties, who were ruling some parts of the country to be able to live together.

When the speech of H.E. Ly Chheng ended, He and his team leaders were visiting the stores to see the products that made in Cambodia and from other countries in the world.

Dreaming To See King Norodom Sihanouk

A majesty King Norodom Sihanouk, a former of Cambdian King, passed away in Beijing at the age of 90, I dreamed to see him. He was riding a boat to trip around Koh Poh island where is in Sihanouk province on Tuesday, March 18, 2013 at :4:15am.

When he arrived home from the traveling on the sea, he lied on a simple bed in a small house. In front of the house is a small farm with jack-fruit trees and a small shelter.

I entered his home and kneed down with my two hand to salute him. I told him that I am a son of Mr. Ngov Kim Lon who has worked for the government in the cabinet of Prime Minister during his regime. He nodded his head without saying to give a signal that he knew my father so clear.

Meeting him in his room about 5 minutes, I raised my hand to see my watch. Then I asked him to leave his room with sorrowful and pity on him to see him continue to lay on the bed with the pale face. At that time I dropped my tears and went around the check his home in order to make sure that there wasn't any thief or crooked people to harm him.

With a deep sorrowful and dropping my tears, it made me wake up recently. Hence, I slept nothing because I was thinking about him until I went to work at 6:15am in the morning.

Got Luxus 300 from H.E. Director-General

Last Sunday, August 12, 2012 I got a call from my H.E. Ly Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group to tell me and Mr. Ty Ta, a campus director of BELTEI 5 (BELTEI Kbal Thnal) to go to a garage to get a new car Luxus 300-2001 with the price $17,500.

When I got a call from him, I felt surprise because he asked me where am I. I informed him that I was at home. He also continued the question at home in Sihanouk province or at home in Phnom Penh. I informed him again that I was in Phnom Penh because I have never gone somewhere outside Phnom Penh without asking permission from him.

Then he continued make a conversation on the phone with me and Mr. Ty Ta about new cars (Luxus 300-2001) that he offered us. There are three cars were offered to BELTEI such as Mr. Ty Ta, a campus director of BELTEI 5, Mr. Ly Sopheap, a chief office of IT, and I. He told us to get the cars opposite the Mohamontrey pagoda where is a garage of cars to be bought.

After choosing the car at the garage, Mr. Ty Ta, Mr. Ly Sopheap, and I came back the Head-office to meet H.E. Director-General in his office. He was working so hard on Sunday to check all the documents that submitted by all 11 campuses last Saturday, August 11, 2012. Then he offered us the keys and Mr. Ros Paradise took some photos while he he was giving us the keys.

At that time, I said thanks to my H.E. Director-General and Lok Chumteav that offered me the new car and the other two of my colleagues. Then I came back my campus.

In the afternoon, I drove to play football at the Marine Head-quarter. We normally play football at 3:30pm for our health because H.E. Director-General has spent his money to rent to football field and water for us.
