CHINESE NEW YEAR IN SINGAPORE AND MALAYSIA

Day 2: February 1, 2014
In the early morning all the BELTEI Team Leaders had breakfast at Johr-Bahru restaurant before continuing to trip the other places. When I woke up around 6:15am, My Buth Dimang and I went down the ground-floor to wait for my colleagues in order to have breakfast together.

Normally, Mr. Buth Dimang and I got up early and we went down to the ground floor to wait for our colleagues.

We were sitting on the sofa around 15 minutes, I saw Mr. Morn Samear and his wife arrived the breakfast hall so that we walked around the long desks which was kept many kind of foods. We chose some of the favorite meals for us, then we moved to the place to sit together.

I was curious because I really wanted to know about Singapore; hence, I decided to ask one of a girls who are serving that restaurant. I use English to communicate with her. I spent 10 minutes to dialogue with her. One word that made me strange was he is a Korean girl. She is a graduated student with the fields of accounting. She said she come to Singapore to work for earning experiences because that country has a lot of tourists. She would like to meet many people that were coming from different countries. Therefore, she could get experiences from them.

The conversation finished, I moved to sit one of the tables that my friend were having breakfast. We discuss about the society in Singapore and we also compared to our country, Cambodia. Suddenly, there was a man looks like Indian. I started the questions again because I think that he is a tourist as well. When we started the conversation, he introduced himself. He is a Pakistan person.

He was working for that hotel, too. He added that most of the people working here aren't Singaporean because the Singapore citizen need high salary. Talking to this point, I was thinking about ASIAN Integration in the near future (the year 2015). I am worrying about the knowledge (skillful) that Cambodian students graduated every year, and most of them don't have enough experiences to enter the globalization. They will lost their jobs because some of them don't care about their learning, and they don't like reading to gain knowledge, too.

After breakfast, we moved to visit a Diamond Industry in Singapore. It is a big and famous in Singapore. Most of tourists will invite to visit it, and some of them could buy the jewellery for their souvenir. For me, I just looked around to see and took some photos in it. One of the security guards came to inform me that taking photo isn't allowed. So, I stopped do it, but I had some of photos that I had just taken on my iPhone. We spent 25 minutes to visit it.

Then we moved to the Merion Park to take some photos because all the passengers have never missed this place. It is a symbol of Singapore country. There are many folk tale about the Mer Lion.

Fist we climbed to the hill to see the good view of Singapore. All of us took photos there. I felt good when I arrived to top of the hill because I could smell the natural adored trees of the mountain. It made me remind my home in Sihanoukville because I have always climbed to the mountain to watch the view of the mountain and the sea. A main who was standing near is Mr. Som Muny, a Dean of BELTEI International Institute University.

Then we moved to Mer-Lion where is the popular place for the tourists to take photos. A tour guide told us that the water that coming out of the mer-lion with the curve shape, it means the money come out and hook the other money to come back. It is belief of Singaporean people.

I asked my friend, Mr. Buth Dimang, to take photos for me. Then I took turn to take photo for him. The weather was hot at that time so that people couldn't stand there for long time. They just took some photos then they looked for the shadow place such as under the bridge or in the coffee shop where had the air-conditioners.

At 10:45am the tour-guide informed us to move to the supper market to have lunch. We had buffet there. I ate only a little bit food because I was worried about my illness during my trip.

I also didn't want to annoy people around me because my respectful parents always remind me how to adopt situation particularly I have to be ready such as Sleep, Walk, Stand, and Sit (The Buddhist Theory) which my daddy always uses it to educate me. I am easy to adopt the situation although it is in a hard condition because I have trained myself since I was 9. When I accompanied with my parents to somewhere, they always remind me to be ready such as go to the WC, check and control the things that I need to bring along with me. It become my habit so that I didn't make trouble with people around me when I travel to somewhere.

The lunch time took about 1 hour and the haft. I left with my friend Mr. Buth Dimang and the other friends to look for the wifi internet in order to contact my family and friends living in Cambodia. Hence, my family and friends have never missed the contact because they also use the smart phone, too.

Then we moved to the Chinese Town to pray to the god there. This is a church in the central of China Town. My boss, my colleagues, and I entered the church to light the incense sticks to pray to the god to help us with safe trip and lucky this year.

CHINESE NEW YEAR IN SINGAPORE AND MALAYSIA

Day 1: December 31, 2013

This pic took at the Pochentong airport, Cambodia after check-in.
Every year, the BELTEI Team Leaders led by H.E. Ly Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group and also a President of BELTEI International University, to trip abroad in Asia. For this year, he led us to visit Singapore and Malaysia.

There are 13 campuses of BELTEI International Institute and 1 BELTEI International University of management teams to accompany with him and his family.

This photo was taken in the plane.
Before moving to the Pochentong airport, all the management teams had breakfast about 20 minutes at one of a restaurant at the north-west. Then we moved to the Pochentong airport.  My Ratha and We were waiting for check-in about 30 minutes, the flight took off.

Mr. Dy Chanratha and I were sitting at the waiting room near the gate where we were going to get in the flight. One of my team leaders took that photo for us. When the flight took off, all the passengers were not allowed to turn on their devices such as phone, iPad, computer, camera etc.

I was sitting on the right side of the flight. On my left side there are three people, Mr. Seng Ky, a campus director of BELTEI 12, Lok Chum Teav Ly Chheng, and H.E. Ly Ly Chheng, but the camera couldn't take his photo.

I strongly missed a good friend who bought this T-shirt for me.  I really wanted her to get to know I wore it, and I took this photo to show her.

My boss and I took at the Changi International airport.
She is so kind although we are just simple friends. She spent her time to buy some shirt and T-shirt for me before I would flight to Singapore and Malaysia. On the other hand, she also bought a testing glucose for me when she has known my glucose is over dose around 122 to 125.

At 12:15pm, we arrived at Changi International Airport. I was allowed to take a photo with my H.E. Ly Chheng in the airport. All the management teams kept moving to forward in order to wait for checking-out. Some of us took photos at the airport area because we found that the decoration is more interesting.

We were waiting for some of our management teams at a place in the airport because we would continue to check-out, but unluckily, there were some of management teams were absent. Our H.E. Ly Chheng asked the tour guide about them. One of the tour guide also didn't know where were they; hence, my boss ordered a tour guide to look for them.

This photo was taken on the bus after leaving the airport.
Some of management teams said they got diarrhea, so they went to the bathroom. About 15 minutes, the tour guide still couldn't find them, and the time was moving fast. We were worried about the missing people.

My boss wasn't happy at that time, but he kept patient. For the last minute, my boss made up his mind to led some of us to the check-out. Luckily, we saw them at the check-out gate. Our boss gave a strong advise to them especially to the tour guides because the BELTEI Tour is processing inbound and outbound. Therefore, he didn't want to have some error when it is processing.

A younger brother was on the right side is Mr. Nguon Ratana, an administration office chief at BELTEI International University (BIU). The bus was moving to a restaurant.

We were in a local restaurant to have lunch in Singapore.

It was strange when we were at a local restaurant in Singapore for our lunch time because all the staffs in there weren't happy.  The restaurant was preparing to close, and all the staffs there welcome us with the wrinkle face, and some of them were being furious.

They didn't care their customers came to their restaurant. We looked our face each other and asked the same questions with the strange characteristics of them. At the end, we could find the reason why they were unhappy.

The reason why they did the bad act to us was the Chinese New Year because they need to meet their family to offer the food to the spirits of their grandparents or ancestors who passed way.

We weren't lenient with them because all the Chinese people need to follow their culture, for they
It was the first gate to enter to Santosa in Singapore.
found that they will earn much money after they offer the food to their grandparents or ancestors. They will help them back with making  more money to each family.

After having lunch at a funny restaurant, we kept moving to Sentosa Island where is a famous resort in Singapore. We could see the Image of Singapore, Under Water World, Casino at Resort World Sentosa, Marina Bay Sand, and Music Fountain at the Marina Bay.

The bus took us to the Sentosa. It is a hill that the government of Singapore makes it for resort. Some people always admire the Singapore is a cleaned country. It is true because this country is small. There are a lot of police to take responsibility to control all the people who didn't respect to the rules. This country is based on the National ports, tourists, etc. so that the government has to be strict on the environment especially all the trees aren't allowed to cut.

The Dolphin Show was in the Santosa resort.
When we arrived the Santosa resort, a Singaporean guide handed us the ticket to see the Dolphin Show. The the pool there were two dolphins and two otters. We spent at least half an hour for visiting the show. There were crowded to be there. Some of them came from Cambodia, Vietnam, China, that I have heard their conversation at that time.

The two dolphins was obeyed their order because of food. It means a woman  who was in the photo was carrying small fishes to hand to the dolphins after they followed what she wanted them to do. On the other hand, the dolphins can also know the signal from the woman.

I was one of the visitors who didn't have the space for sitting because there were crowded. I was standing under the hot sunshine with a camera of iPhone 5 to take the view. Some people were using iPad, digital cameras in order to take it, too.

The pic was taken under the sea water (in the tunnel).
The show was ended with the cheer of visitors, they were stepping of the showing area and moved to the Under Water World.

We, BELTEI management team took a rest in front of the souvenir selling store. My boss told one of his assistant to buy coffee, fresh water, and juice for us because of the weather was too hot, and we were thirsty, too.

Then we continued to visit the under water tunnel to see many kind of fishes. The iPhone 5 camera wasn't
clear enough because it was dark in there. I am the one who are living near the sea (Sihanouk province), but I sometimes have never seen the other kind of fishes that I saw them. It is interesting to see the sea fishes under the tunnel.

We couldn't standstill because there were the other visitors were queuing. Hence, we must keep moving forward.
