PUBLIC SPEAKING

Why BELTEI set the Public Speaking in the curriculum?

H.E. LY Chheng, Lok Chum Teav, and management teams.
The Public Speaking is a subject to process or perform a presentation (a speech) which focus an individual directly speaking to the audience in order to inform, influence, or entertain them.

BELTEI International School has chosen this subject called Public Speaking Contest to set in the Extra-Curricular Courses for ESL Students (English as Second Language) and General Education Students in order to strengthen the students to be brave enough to speak in the public.

H.E. LY Chheng and Lok Chumteav welcomed by management team,
teachers and students who were attending the competition event.
BELTEI Inernational School has started Public Speaking Contest since 2013. H.E. Ly Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group and also a President of BELTEI International University approved on a guideline # 863 បធក⁣ (Khmer alphabet) on August 10, 2013.

H.E. LY Chheng finds that most of Cambodian students aren't confident to speak or show their ideas in the public (it is related to Khmer culture. Cambodian people are gentle and shy to speak out in front of the stranger especially female). On the other hand, his two sons have been graduated from U.K., they rose their ideas to him about the Public Speaking is more popular in there. They think that BELTEI students will get the benefit form it if H.E. LY Chheng inserts this program in the Extra-curriculum.

Mr. LY Navuth, a Vice President of BELTEI International University.
Public Speaking Contest has been divided into two parts such as Public Speaking for ESL students (students learn only English) and for General Eduction students (students learn many subjects that follows Ministry of Education Sports and Youth program).

There are two levels of Public Speaking Contest which follow the steps as the following:

CAMPUS Level Competition:
For the Campus Level, all the students who are learning from Level 3 to Level 12 or Grade 3 to Grade 12 are able to attend the competition. For instance, the students of Level 3 Group I has to compete with the same level of Group II in order to select the top three. The First class student will continue to compete with the other first class students from 15 campuses of BELTEI International School (until now the campus 16 is under constructing, and it will run in the near future).

H.E. LY Chheng and Lok Chumteav took photo with first class
level 3, 6, 9, and 12.
BEITEI Level Competition:
There are two steps to be arranged for the competition. All the first class students coming from 15 campuses will be selected top five for the first round and the top three for the final round. There are three kinds of medal for the top three, gold medal, silver medal, and bronze medal with some prizes.

The Speaking Contest becomes more popular for BELTEI International School. Management teams, teachers, and students try to find more techniques to teach and learn in order to prepare the competition which will be held every six months of final term for ESL and semester 1; 2 for General Education students. For more detail we can surf BELTEI website: www.beltei.edu.kh

H.E. LY Chheng gave medal and scholarship to the winners.

As H.E. LY Chheng, gave his speech to the guardians and students in public speaking event. He was also raising the speech that being the students of BELTEI International School dare to speak and show their opinions to the public.

He also mentioned that he is willing to build BELTEI students to become the international human being.

Mr. LY Navuth, a Vice President of BELTEI International University
gave medal and scholarship to the winner.

Mr. Buth Dimang, the Academic Manager gave medal and scholarship
to the winner.

Judges, Committees, Management team, guardians, and students
were watching the Speaking Contest process.

Coffee at COSTA PPIU

Today is Sunday, September 13, 2015. I am planning to visit my parents at my sister's home in the afternoon because I would like to have breakfast and go around for relaxing on my weekend. I am at the COSTA cafe to have breakfast there where is near PPIU university.

I asked my friend to take a photo for me. It looks old this year and my skin face is wrinkle. It shows me that I am gonna get old day by day.

I really don't know where should I go for my weekend. I just go to the coffee shop to drink coffee, surf the net, and read news to kill my weekend time only.

What I am thinking and having future plan to do for my work is to reach all of my students of BELTEI International School (BELTEI Camko City) to have high capacity of general knowledge. I am willing to push and motivation them to concentrate on their study. I think our nation needs the human resource to lead the country when the Asian community enter in the near future. Furthermore, I also support the strategy and policy of Ministry of Education to reform the education system in order to strengthen Education System.

It is the second year of Grade 12 State Exam in my country. Most of students are changing their habit. They try to study and listen to the explanation from their subject teachers because they have already known that they will failed it if they learn nothing.

According the reforming system of Ministry of Education Sports and Youth, I strongly hope the human resources in Cambodian will be increased soon, and they become the roots and columns of our nation.

I also wish H.E. Dr. HANG Chuon Naron good health and success in his leading the Ministry of Education to build the human resource in Cambodia.

SADNESS Weekend.

Sunday, July 26, 2015 all Campus Directors were attending Tean Preah Vasar (ទានព្រះវស្សា) at Chamkar Ksach Quarter with H.E. Ly Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group. Unluckily, I got diarrhea last night and made me so dizzy so that I decided to send SMS to my boss to ask permission not to attend that event. I was so regret to miss it.

I took pill and I was sleeping on my bed from morning till evening at 5:35pm. Then I got up to take a bath and went to TK to have dinner.

When I arrived there, I ordered a fried chicken with boiled rice because I haven't had breakfast and lunch since then. Putting a full spoon of fried chicken and rice into my mouth, the taste was bitter, so I really didn't want to have dinner, but I had to have it because I am going to work tomorrow. There are a lot of works waiting for me to complete them.

This weekend, it seemed a lot of people to visit TK, and most of the guests are adults. They came to have food and discuss about their business or talked somethings concerning with their daily lives. I was interested in a group of people sitting opposite me were the elite people. They had many things to talk to each other. They sometimes looked at me and sometimes used their body language to show
the meaning during their conversation.

Usually, I drink coffee when I arrived TK, but today I couldn't drink it because of my illness. I just drank a bottle of water after my dinner with a simple food at TK. Then I was surfing the net to read BBC and CNN news although I felt dizzy at that time. It was my SADNESS WEEKEN DAY.

Visit My Parents on Weekend.

I woke up in the early morning at 5:30am. I was walking around Camko City area about 3 kilometers long for my exercise. Then, I continued to walk to Tuol Kork antenna restaurant for my breakfast.

I had Chinese noodle with the black ice coffee. The taste of food is good so that I ordered five more packages for my parents' breakfast because today is Sunday; therefore, I have enough time to bring meals for them from Tuol Kork to Psar Deyhouy where is my younger sister's home (my parents are living with my sister).

When I arrived there, I rang the bell to give the signal sound to my nieces to open the door. I saw my father was sitting on the wooden bed and my mother was washing the disks. In fact my sister asked her not to do the housework, but she still does it.

I told one of my nieces to bring a portrait to keep the five packages of Chinese noodles, and I kneed down to offer food to them. They wish me good luck and healthy. Then I rose my both hands to respect them.

I think that my younger brothers, younger sister, and I are lucky to have chance to take care our parents. Some of people who are willing to do as like as me, but they have no chance because their gods were
passed away.

They were happy to see me to visit them because they would like to talk about this about that with me. The favorite of my father is general situation (local and international news) because he was one of the Cambodian government members during King Sihanouk and Lon Nol era.

I was sitting to see them having Chinese noodle, and I also asked them about taste of it. They said it was good. I was so happy, and I am going to buy it next time for them.

When my parents finished breakfast, my mother told me that today is the birthday of my niece, Meng Ratana Tevy. She added that my sister, mother of my niece, will bring her children a supper market for Tevy's birthday. Then I left my sister's home to go to Brown Coffee at TK supper market to have a cup of coffee and wrote some lines about my diary on my website.

Deleted Two Closed Friends From The List.

Today is Saturday, July 11, 2015, I make up my mind to delete two  closed friends from my list. It is not easy to make the last decision for me, but I have no choice to do that. Friends are more important to my life. Friends also make me happy and upset, However, we still need friends in the society.

Although I deleted them from my list, but I still consider they are friends in my mind because we used to be friends for ages. On the other hand, we sometimes also shared good ideas when we faced some troubles, for we were hard to tell anybody about our secrets to whom we are difficult to trust.

I have quoted some notes from one of website www.psychologytoday.com about friends as the following:
  1. Common interests. This probably ties us closer to our friends than many would like to admit. When our interests diverge and we can find nothing to enjoy jointly, time spent together tends to rapidly diminish. Not that we can't still care deeply about friends with whom we no longer share common interests, but it's probably uncommon for such friends to interact on a regular basis.
  2. History. Nothing ties people together, even people with little in common, than having gone through the same difficult experience. As the sole glue to keep friendships whole in the long run, however, it often dries, cracks, and ultimately fails.
  3. Common values. Though not necessarily enough to create a friendship, if values are too divergent, it's difficult for a friendship to thrive.
  4. Equality. If one friend needs the support of the other on a consistent basis such that the person depended upon receives no benefit other than the opportunity to support and encourage, while the relationship may be significant and valuable, it can't be said to define a true friendship.
I really know that friends are important to me, but what I have made up my mind because of the reasons and pushes me to do that. However, I wish my ex-two closed friends happiness and success in their lives.

MacBook Air (11 inches).

Photo downloaded from the internet.
Nowadays, the high technology is leading and playing an important role in this era. Most of work places need the human resources who can work on high-tech particularly the computer, internet etc.

For instance, it is easy to communicate by email, fax, phone etc., we can also exchange or transfer the currency through the bank by working on the net system.

According to the big demand, most of the companies which are producing hardware and software to supply the need of those companies have also produced their products with high quality.

However, it is not easy to enter the international market to sell their products because there are many competitors in the worldwide, too. Apple company is one of the companies to make software and hardware.

Photo downloaded from the internet.
I decided to buy a MacBook Air 11 inches for my personal use on June 12, 2015. It costs $1,200 in Cambodia market. On the website of Apple, it costs only $999 for MacBook Air 11 inches only. It is so important to me because  I am interested in high technology for ages.

I have used computer since 1992. I remembered the cost cost desk top computer $,1, 250 for one set. I bought at that time for my personal use and also for  typing service. I could earn 12,000 Riels for a A4 paper size. The Macintosh wasn't popular at that time because because most of Cambodia people have only known IBM Computer.

My real photo taken from my MacBook Air 11 inches.
It worked on Ms. Dos. I am one of computer users in 1992. I have trained for 3 months how to operate on Ms. Dos and K.I.O (Khmer Fonts).

For the Khmer Fonts is the most popular at that time because the 19 century people use only typewriter to type their documents. The scripts weren't clear and there isn't any printer to print documents.

The typewriter is used by the keyboard-operated types string a ribbon to transfer carbon or ink impressions onto paper.

Photo downloaded from the internet.
At that time, it wasn't easy to spread
information because the typewriter is able to type only 4 pages for one time. If a person who typed wrong scripts, he or she had to use the correction ink to pain on the whole of wrong scripts and retype new script(s) on it. So, this job needed the professional people to work on it.

For this reason as mention above, the new computer which operated on Ms. Dos with the Khmer Fonts (K.I.O) was so popular. The K.I.O Khmer Fontss made by one of Kampuchea Krom (Khmer living in Vietnam). Since then desk top computer is playing an important role for the new generation. Additional my skillful of typing on typewriter that I have trained typing skill of Keng Vansak from my brother Soeng Vichet who trained from my uncle Kim Thai (He worked for Lon Nol government ara in the office on typewriter for ages. Hence, I could type Khmer scripts with the full page of A4 paper (around 500 words) only 17 minutes.

Photo download from the internet.
When the new updated from Microsoft Dos to Microsoft Windows 3.1. It was so easy to operate Ms. Office on it. I spent 1 week to train the new technology at Phnom Penh to pay for training fee was $70, and I also updated the Window 3.1 and Ms. Office on my desk top was $30. The amount total was $100 for the training and setting a new program.

Although I have spent $100 for new updated technology, I could earn much more than it. I used my computer to type documents for my customers, and I could earn 12,000 Riels (Khmer currency) = $3 at that time. It was unbelievable that I was able to earn from $100 to $200 a day.

In fact I couldn't earn as much as a day for my typing because one page I had to spend 17 minutes and I could earn only $3. The reason that I could earn $200 a day because of using Ms. Excel. It means I just started Ms. Excel to drag the series codes from the top to the bottom with 5 columns only a few minutes so that I finished one page with $3. In Sihanouk province, people are rare how to operate on computer at that time.

Photo downloaded from the internet.
What amazing high technology for me is Internet and Email. It was difficult to send a letter to my friends living in Phnom Penh or studying abroad as Russia, Vietnam, etc., I spent at least 2 weeks from Sihanouk City to Phnom Penh Capital, and 3 months from Cambodia to Russia or Vietnam. Sometimes my envelops were missed without reason. Now, I just spend my relax time to drop some lines on mail box. Then, I just press a stroke keyboard to send to my friends' email account only. I also can know my mail can send out or not without having doubt anymore.

I find that all students should spend their writing on email in order to improve their writing skill or general knowledge. They need to think and gathering infomation before sending mail, so they can practice their brain day by day for their writing. Teachers or lecturers also should give their students' homework or assignment by email, too. They can keep all the files concerned with their learning at school or university, for they can check anytime to download files when they are at location having internet for surfing.

CHECKING BLOOD FOR Hb-A1c (Hemoglobin A1c).

June 8, 2015

In the early morning, I went to a clinic to check Hb-A1c (Hemoglobin A1c) in order to make sure that the glucose in my body is increased or decreased after I checked it last year.

The reason why I needed to check my blood because my feeling wasn't well since yesterday. I was in TK (Tuol Kork Avenue Supper Market) to relax on my weekend. At 4:25pm. I felt dizzy and my eyes dazzled (I couldn't see clear); hence, I decided to go to a clinic in order to check glucose.

My willing is to go to a drug store where is at the corner of the cross road and opposite of Western International School. Luckily, I didn't reach there, but I saw a clinic which written the name of a Assit-Prof-Dr Sao Sira on the clinic where is closed to the one that I have mention above so that I entered it and asked a doctor to check my blood. The result of checking was 220mlg (high glucose). Then I took a pill (Glucophase) from my pocket to take it in order to reduce the glucose. The doctor said it wasn't good to take pill like this. I better discus with a specialist doctor first before taking pill like this. He added that his mother is one of specialist doctor to cure the kind of my illness. Taking about 1 minute to make up my mind before replying to the doctor. Then I said yes and I also agreed to wait for her at 5:15pm.

Asking many points about my illness from the past to the present, I felt confident and trust her because her diagnostic questions is full of experiences. She told me to check the blood at 6:30am tomorrow morning (today). She told me to get the result of blood checking at 5:30pm, but I arrived her clinic at 5:15pm in the late afternoon. The doctor ordered me to take pills (Lipiget) to decrease Triglyceride, Serum because the standard is 2.3 for for me is 3.7. I am going to meet her next month in order to get her advice after I am taking pill and on a diet.

What I would like to note today is the decreasing of Hb-A1c from 7.5 to 6.18. She said if next time my glucose continue to decrease, she will let me to reduce Glucophase. For everything that I have checked my blood is good except my glucose and Triglyceride.

Day 3: Management Team Trip 2015

May 1, 2015

After staying two days at Pornping Tower hotel in Chiang Mai, we continue to trip to Chiang Rai. We got in a tour bus in the early morning when we finished breakfast at 7:30am. The tour guide told the about history of Chieang Rai particularly the Golden Triangle area. It is one of Asia's two main opium-producing areas. It is an area of around 367,000 square miles (950,000 square kilometers tat and there are three countries overlaps the mountains of three countries of South East Asia: Myanmar, Loas, and Thailand. The Golden Triangle designates the confluence of the Ruak River and the Mekong River, since the term has been appropriated by the Thai tourist industry to describe e nearby border tripoint (three countries) of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

On way from Chiang Rai, the bus stopped a few minutes at the boiled water area called ................ . The hot water is able to boil eggs. We, BELTEI Management Team, took a short time to take photo. I also helped Chinese tourists to take photos for them when I saw a girl standing to wait for someone to take photo for her. Then the bus was moving to Chiang Rai. The bus was moving around 3 hours, we arrived Thailand-White Temple called Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Rai province. It is owed by Chalermchai kosipipat, who designed, constructed, and opened it to visitors in 1997. It is opened all the year round and there is no charge for admission. The artist intends for the area adjacent to the temple to be a center of learning and meditation and for people to gain gain benefit from buddhist teachings. Kositpipat considers the temple to be an offering to Lord Buddha and believes the project will give him immortal life.

We arrived the Golden Triangle and have lunch at Rim Kong restaurant where is near the Mekong river. We took time for lunch about one hour Then we continued to visit the Golden Triangle area. When we arrived there, we were  waiting for the boats  to take us to visit that place on the Mekong River. Waiting around 5 minutes, the tour guide called us to get on the boats.  The tour boats took us  to visit it along the river. Then we visited Laos. We spent one and half hours to buy something's or go around to visit the small market of Laos. I bought scarves and bag for my wife and daughter. After that we continued to visit the supper market until 5:30p

DAY 2: Management Team Trip 2015

Day 2: April 29, 2015

This morning the BELTEI Management Team went to MAETAENG Elephant Park to watch the elephants show. From the hotel to the park, we got on a bus. We were watching the view from the bus  and listening to a Thai guide to tell about Thai history in Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai is the homeland of Mr. Thaksin Sinawatra, the former Thai Prime Minister. The guide said that the most beautiful girls or Thai Miss is coming from that location. Sin Sisamuth's song has also described about the beauty of Chiang Mai girl, too. The title of the song is (បុប្ផាឈៀងម៉ៃ). When we arrived the park, all the tourists got out of the bus and walked to the wooden gate with the hand writing scripts in Thai and English "WELCOME TO MAETAENG ELEPHANT PARK). On the right side of the gate is toilet. We walked straight on about 15 meters long, and we turned right where is a sitting hall to watch the elephants show.

Waiting around 10 minutes, we saw a couple men walked the elephants to show such as raising their legs to cross each other, carrying the flowers to welcome the audiences, raising the legs up to bow etc., then we saw the men brought the five painting desks with white papers to put on the ground with standing position. Next the men were walking the elephants to each painting desk with box of color for painting. After that the five elephants were using their trunks to hold on the painting sticks and started painting. One of the elephants were lazy, so a man standing near by hit him and pushed him to continue it.

30 minutes later, the beautiful flowers, trees, elephants symbols were appeared on the white papers which were on the painting desks to make the audiences surprisingly. For me, I didn't believe my eyes so that I wanted to make sure. I went to close to the painting to watch carefully. It seems the arts of human being made. They stood the five pieces of painting that had just painted and told the audiences the cost to be sold. Each piece is 1,000 Baht. Madam Ly Thida, the accountant manager and also a daughter of my boss, bought the most beautiful painting with 1,000 Badh.

Then we went to visit the Long Neck People. Because of the driving to the hill, the bus weren't able to suitable to drive. Therefore, the tour guide decided to use four small cars. We spent 22 minutes reach that place. Then we went around to visit the people there. I took two photos with the long neck people, and I also gave them some moneys (Baht currency). One of them can speak English to the foreigners. I asked her the reason why she is able to speak English because they are ethnic minority. She said, "I am living in Bangkok before and also learn English there."

Next we continued to the Orchid Restaurant to have buffet for lunch time. The food was delicious. I love one of them was fried noodle and Tum Yam soup (Thai sour soup). Most of the tourists who came to have lunch there are Chinese. They loved taking photo at the orchid garden.  About one and half hours after having lunch, we continued visit Chiang Mai zoo. For me the zoo wasn't interesting to me because most of animals have been watched many times. Hence, I just walked around and took some photos to kill the time.

On the bus, the tour guides said that we had one more interesting place this evening to visit. They added that it was The Showing Dancing Gay. I used to hear some friends said about that place, but I wasn't interested in. I really wanted to stay in the hotel to relax or posted some photos on Facebook to show my family or friends where I had been visited. But, the time wasn't allowed so that I had to accompany with them. In the show, I just sat about 18 minutes while the gay people were singing and dancing on the stage. Then I decided to leave it and walked around to see the night view. Then I ordered a bottle of Chang Beer (Thai product) to drink alone and listened to English song. Recently, Mr. Kane, a Thai guide came. I invited him to drink beer with me and asked a Thai girl serving beer. I questions about her study and the living style in Thailand. She was a university student. She graduated bachelor degree of accounting. I was sitting there until the show ended. I bought 13 keys chains for my staffs.

When we arrived the hotel, some of  my friends went out to visit the Night Market. For me I need to stay in the hotel room and chat with my family and friends on Viber or Facebook. They asked my trip in Thailand and the situation there, too. The second day of trip ended with safety and happiness.

Day 1: Management Team Trip 2015

Day 1: April 28 2015

I was in Sovannaphum Airport in Thailand.
Normally, H.E. Ly Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group, a President of BELTEI International University, always leads BELTEI Management Team to trip oversea every year.

What different from last year is changing the schedule on Chinese New Year to May of the year because most of campus directors have suggested him to stay with their family during Chinese New Year. Hence, he decided to change to schedule to that time.

This year we visited Thailand. The schedule of our trip from April 28 2015 to May 3, 2015. So, our first day to visit Thailand was on April 28, 2015. According to the schedule, all the campus directors and his relatives had to arrive the Pochentong airport at 6:00am because the flights started at 6:15am.

To manage the time, I stayed at a guest house near the airport because I needed to get up early. For the other reason, I didn't have my relatives to take me there because I didn't want to bother their time.

I arrived the Pochentong airport at 5:35am. I was standing at the gate # 5 in order to get in the flight #  PG 938, seat # 16C. The flight took off at 6:20am and it arrived Sovannaphoum airport in Thailand at 7:09am so that we had breakfast on the plane.

We were waiting for the other flight to Chiang Mai until 10:45am. The flight was flying is high 45,000 feet, I asked the fight attendance. We arrived at Chiang Mai at 11:28am.

We were having dinner at Sip Song Phanna, the ancient restaurant, at 6:15pm. Then we continued to visit the King's garden. Next we went to the Night Market because some of us needed to buy Thai simcard.

Unluckily, the seller said Thai government took measure to the foreigners who use simcard because in Thailand there were some issues about suicide bombing at the South of Thailand. Hence, we couldn't buy Thai simcard at that time.

Entering Chiang Mai Airport in Thailand.

Having lunch at Chiang Mai restaurant in Thailand.

Khmer New Year 2015

April 18, 2015

In the morning, I was having breakfast and coffee at Theng Hai coffee shop near Psar Leu market at Sihanouk province.

I got a call from my wife to tell my that my elder son and his wife asked me to visit Koh Kong because they have never been there since the Koh Kong road constructed. I thought that it was also a good idea to visit Koh Kong because some of my family members have never visited there excepted my daughter and me.

So, I drove my car back home and let them to prepare clothes to visit Koh Kong.

On the way to Koh Kong is hard to drive because the roads are series of dangerous bends and ahead. We couldn't drive fast. The speed maximum is about 60 to 70 kms. However, we still hope our trip were happy.

We took four hours to drive from Sihanouk province to Koh Kong province. We arrived there at 2:25pm. When we arrived Koh Kong downtown, we were moving to Koh Kong and Thailand  border because we didn't want to waste our time.

Parking the car near the Koh Kong and Thailand border, I exchanged $50 to Baht currency. I got 1500 Baht, then we were walking to the check points. First we asked the permission license from Khmer Police Immigration.

They charged us 2,000 riels for each and handed us a ticket. I had to use my ID card to register to enter the Thai border. When I arrived the Thai's check point, I had to show Thai police immigration.

The Thai authority allowed us only to enter to market where Khmer people and some Thai people are selling Thai products only. If we would like to move far from that territory, we need to have passports.

I bought Rai Ban glasses. It costs 750 baht and a hat for my daughter. My wife bought blankets and somethings else.

Then we left the border to move to Koh Kong resort. In fact we didn't know where should we go. We just asked people there to find the places for visiting.

Then we moved to Korng Kang forest (mangrov) to visit there. We walked around Prey Korng Kang around 2 hours. Then we left it to look for a guest house in Koh Kong province.

The guest house costs $15 for double room. We rent two room to stay one night.

In the early morning, we left the province early because we had some works to do next in Sihanouk province.

I let my elder son to drive a car because I felt dizzy. He said,"The Koh Kong road is difficult to drive and made him dizzy, too." On the way home, we saw a death girl by accident who was lying on the right side of National Road # 4. Our car was moving on the way home with safety.

We arrived home at 11:15am. I didn't relax at home, but I continued to go to check the land of my boss, H.E. Ly Chheng, because my brother-in-law and the other person were taking responsible for cleaning the land of him. I were standing there until 3:15pm (work was completely done). Then I came back home to relax about 15 minutes, and I continued to drive my car to Phnom Penh because my work would start tomorrow morning.

Khmer New Year 2015

April 15, 2015.
My wife took photo with my second son, Kim Monirith.
In Khmer New Year, for my first day, my wife went to the market in the early morning in order to buy food to cook and bring to Pagoda.

We went to Samathi pagoda where is near Ream Beach because we found that most of people have been to the nearest pagodas; hence, we decided to go to the pagoda where is far from Sihanouk province.

First of all, my wife, my daughter, and my sons offered food to the monks and pray to our ancestors to get food from the monks after the blessing ended.

For Cambodian people believe that all their ancestors will be able to get food when the monk blessing (The food offers through the monk blessing). If the ancestors got sin, they would not get food unless the monk blessing done.

Then My daughter and I was holding two dishes carrying rice to put it on the monk's bowls for each spoon of rice until the end of bowls (Khmer called Roab Bath). It means people believe that their ancestors are able to receive food. We were calling the name of our ancestors and relatives by heart and our hand were putting rice on the monk's bowls.

I took photo with my third daughter, Kim Sovanny.
Next we moved to go outside and we continued to offer money to the poor people who were waiting for the kind people to offer food or money.

Although the money were offered to the poor, but we were happy to do the right things

After that we left the pagoda  in order to goo back home. When the car was moving to the National Road # 4, my children gave comment that they wanted to visit Bokor resort where locates in Kampot province.

I thought my wife had never been there before so that I agreed with my children to continue to Bokor resort. We had no plan to visit there. Therefore, all of us didn't bring clothes at all. We also made up our mind to stay in Kampot province one night after visiting Bokor.

When the car arrived Veal Renh, we stopped the car for a while to buy rice and friend chicken to put in the plastic bags for our lunch on the hill of Bokor.

My daughter and I offered food to ancestors and relatives.
It was my first time to drive a car to the hill of Bokor. Everything was good and safe. First place to visit was Yeay Mao statue.

My wife, my children, and I were praying to her to be safe and happiness while we were visiting there. We also took some photos over there during our trip.

Then we went to Kokor casino to relax because the weather was too hot. We have spent at least one hour inside the casino with taking some photos at the garden where is surround it.

Next we visited the fountain. Unluckily, there wasn't any falling water because this season didn't have enough water to fall from the  hill.

Hence, we just sat under the shadow of the trees until 3:45pm, and we continued to came back home without staying one night at Kampot province.

On the way home, my wife, my children were talking about something that they just visited. For me I just drove my car on the National Road # 4 to home and listen to music on my car. We arrived home at 7:15pm with safe trip and happiness.
