A Party of Mr. Kev Savuth's Daughter

LENG Sopichvotey is a youngest daughter.
LENG Sopichvotey was born on May 27, 2008. She is a youngest daughter of Mr. Kev Savuth and Mrs. Uy Thida who have worked for BELTEI International Institute (BELTEI Pochentong).

The party was held on Sunday, May 27, 2008 in their home (a small village) where is located in Chamkar Ovlek, Sangkat Kakab, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh capital.

Mr. Kev Savuth and Mrs. Uy Thida invited some of Campus Directors as like as Mr. Kim Vireak, a campus director of BELTEI 8, Mr. Phan Sorya, a campus director of BELTEI 7, and Mr. Nuon Horn, a campus director of BELTEI 10, and some of deputy campus directors and also some of their closed friends.

I was sitting with them and I took my iphone 4s to take photo.
When I arrived Mr. Kev Savuth's home, I saw some of Khmer teachers and deputy directors in charge of Khmer general education. They were having beer and foods. Normally, there are 10 people to sit round the round table.

So, I have to wait for the other 9 people for a new table. Yet, I didn't want to wait for them because it was 5:02pm so that I was attending this table, so there were 11 people.

We were chatting about our school and some information that concerns with the society, I took my Iphone 4s to take LENG Sopichvotey photo because I would like to post her history on my website. On the other hand, I found that it will be useful for her when she grows up.

They were chatting something for fun.
The party was continuing until 6:15pm. There were some other teachers and deputy directors arrived. Mr. Kev Savuth invited them to sit at the second table. I took my beer glass to welcome them before the other guests would come.

Mr. Kev Savuth, his wife, and his relatives were serving food and beer to the guests. We were happy at that occasion because we have considered them as our relatives (BELTEI Family) so that we could chat freedom. The dish that was on the table was a salad with mix-vegetable and shrimp. It is a popular first dish for Cambodian people because we can drink beer and have it before the other dishes.

They are BELTEI 8 staffs at BELTEI Pochentong.
About 15 minutes, there were BELTEI 8 staffs arrived the party. They are Miss. Heng Linda, a deputy director in charge of accounting, Miss. Houn Channavy, in charge of cashier, Miss. Chea Vannary, in charge of student information, Miss. Chhun Pheakdey, a level 2-G2 ESL teacher, Mrs. Uy Phalla, in charge of cashier at BELTEI 7, Mrs. Phuong Danet, a preschool 1-G2.

They were waiting for four more guest to complete the table. They were happy to attend that party because it was Sunday so that they weren't worry the working time because it was a day off of them.

Mr. Bou Borann gave a short speech.
The party was continuing until 9:15pm. Mr. Bou Borann, a deputy campus director of BELTEI 10, waas holding a microphone and gave a short speech before cutting the cake birthday.

Most of the participants were standing and applaud to welcome her birthday.

Mr. Kev Savuth and Mrs. Uy Thida were standing behind their daughter.
She felt exciting to see the people around her because she was in the young age.

The speech of Mr. Bou Borann with the meaningful. After giving a speech, he invited Mr. Kev Savuth, a father of LENG Sopichvotey to note the birthday event.

He said thank to all the guests who were attending her birthday party, and he also wish all the guests long age, pedigree, happiness, and healthy. We applauded again after his short speech finished.

The sparkled incense sticks and the Happy Birth song started the same time.
After the speech of Mr. Bou Borann and Mr. Kev Savuth, it was the time to cut the birthday cake. The participants were standing around the Leng Sopichvotey and hold the sparkled incense sticks.

The Happy Birthday Song were playing and the guests were standing around the her to hold the sparkled incense sticks in order to welcome LENG Sopichvotey's birthday.

First of all, she felt scare the sparkling of incense sticks. Then, she felt happy and smile to the people around her especially the Happy Birthday Song that is more popular to the people around the world.

When the event was finished, the guests came back their table and continue to talk many topics that have been concerned with their daily lives. For me, I told Mr. Kev Savuth to leave home earlier because I am not good at drinking and I were a little dizzy.

My weekend came to the end!!!

My Weekend Day

This photo was taken at the Lucky Burger Ratanak Plazza
Today is Sunday. Normally I am attending the football training at Chbar Ampov High School with the other campus directors of BELTEI International Institute especially with H.E. Ly Chheng, my Director-General and H.E. Sean Borath, a secretary of state and also a deputy of Anti Corruption Unit called (A.C.U.) in Cambodia. The purpose of the football training is to release stress, escape from blood pressure, and over dose sugar illness. This weekend was missed to train it because of the last couple raining, so the footbal terrace is still mud. My Director-General allowed us not to train this Sunday.

The people who were having meals in front of me.
That is the reason why I am able to spend my time to sit in the Ratanak Plazza Supper Market particularly I sat at the Lucky Burger Plazza to have a can of Coca Cola light. It costs $1. I used wifi in there to surf the net and wrote my daily activities on my website. Because of knowing that tomorrow is my day off, I got up at 9:23am then I did my housework such as cleaning my room, washing my clothes, and doing something before going out.

When I finished them, I have been to Punloeu Chan Restaurant to have breakfast. I order Ragoo with bread (Khor Koo num pang) in Khmer language and a cup of coffee. I met the guardians of my student who is learning grade 9 in my school (Beltei 8).

I drank a can of Coca Cola while I was surfing the net.
We were chatting about a group of gangsters who have gone to Phnom Penh High School to fight the students there. They told me that two of them were arrested by the local police. The police confiscated Samaray swords (kind of Japanese swords) from them and have kept them in the police post.

I got a call from my Director-General at 11:13am while I was reading a news describing about earthquake 6.0 magnitute in Italy at the north of the city of Bologna. There were 4 people were killed and 50 people injured according to the BBC News. He told that he would like to allow DE You Little to accompany with him to the World Camp IYF on May 25, 2012. Mr. Ros Paradise also accompany with him, too.

At 11:38am, H.E. Director-General called me again. He said he allowed my son or daughter to attend that event without doing the test, but I have to pay for the passport and the flight ticket. I replied him with my thank that I don't have enough money for my son or daughter. They can wait for the second time.

It is a iOne store. There are Ipad, Ipod and Apple products.
At 11:24am, I sent a short message to Miss. You Little, my deputy campus director, to graduate her because she has been selected to attend the World Camp in South Korea by my beloved Director-General.  Mr. Ros Paradise also attend this event, too. She replied my SMS at 12:01pm. "Thanks. M happy but also worry because I have to pay 50% for air ticket and need to have some money in hand as well. Deng mech te nhom.", she said.

After having breakfast, I came back home to watch TV until 1:26pm. Then, I drove my car to have lunch at a small restaurant where is opposite my school. I ordered mix vegetable soup (Samlor Karko in Khmer language), a grilled river fish and a can of Angkor Beer. Then, I went to Rotanak Plazza to surf the net and wrote my activities that I have done. In Ratanak Plazza, there were a lot of people to be there. Some of them also came to have snack and surf the net, too. They were lazy to stay at home because of the hot weather, and they could save the electricity for AC in their home, They said. I was there until 5:35pm at the Lucky Burger to write the my activities on my website.

At 5:45pm I drove my car to park in my campus, and I had dinner at a small restaurant where is opposite my school. Then I asked my one of security guards to take me home. It was 6:25pm. I took a bath and turn on TV to watch news and Chinese Series Movie.

My Holiday ended !!!

Relatives Wedding Party

This photo was taken a photo at Sorya Supper Market
Last couple days, I got a call from my wife to tell me about her relatives who have invited her and me to attend their son wedding party in Phnom Penh. She also told me that it will be held by Monday, May 14, 2012 at Pi Phop Thmey Restaurant (New World Restaurant).

My wife and my two children, Kim Sovanny and Kim Rithy, arrived Phnom Penh on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the afternoon at 1:12pm.

She told me that she stayed at a restaurant where is near the Sorya Supper Market. When I finished my work at 5:30pm, I went there to meet them, and we had dinner together there, too.

On Sunday morning, May 13, 2012, I brought my wife and my three children (Kim Sonirous, Kim Sovanny, and Ki m Rithy) to visit Royal Palace.

Unluckily, the staffs working for the Royal Palace didn't allow my daughter to enter it because there is a prohibition posting on the wall about wearing shorts. Hence, we came back Sorya supper market to have lunch, and we went there in the afternoon at 2:00pm.

Kim Sonirouk is a older brother of Kim Sovanny
The ticket costs 1,000 riels for a Cambodian nationality. Therefore, we bought 6 tickets for my wife and I,  my three children (Kim Sonirous, Kim Sovanny, Kim Rithy), and my niece, a daughter of my sister-in-law.

We took some photos where they allowed us to take, such as at the garden, and somewhere else, but some of places were not allowed to take photos such as the Preah Keo Morokot (a precious emerald, gold, and diamond made a Buddhist sculpt) and the meeting hall of King (it is a place for Cambodian King to receive the credentials from the envoy of other countries).

First, we visited the Meeting Temple of a King where he welcomes all the diplomats offer credentials to the King. I described some events that have taken place in Cambodia to my children.

Second, we visited Prasat Preah Keo Morokot (The Precious Emerald Temple) where has been kept Buddhist sculpts made by gold, diamond, precious emerald, and silver.

Third, we visited Prasath Preah Kor (Cow Temple) where a Cow sculpt that the scientific story about an older brother is a cow and younger brother is a precious stone. They were human being and have powerful magic since they have born.

They are my family. From the right is Kim Sovanny, Kim Rithy,
Kouch Houy, my wife, and my elder son.
We asked a monastery who are taking care this temple to pierce with a point instrument on the treatise to see our fortune this year.

For me is good, but for my wife has a bad luck so that she had to pierce it for the fourth time, she used holly cow water to put on her head before did it again.

Luckily, when she did it, she got a good definition on it.

Last, we left the Royal Palace because it was raining. We were visiting there until 3:45pm because the Royal Palace is closed at 4:00pm.

This photo was taken in front of Meeting Temple
of Cambodian King
After visiting there, we moved to Sorya supper market again where is near our rooms. We have gone to the forth floor to have meals and relaxed there.

My elder son went to his room, my youngest son, played games there, my daughter bought somethings , my wife went to the guest house, and I read news online on my Ipad2 until 5:30pm.

We had dinner together at 6:30pm, then we went to our guest house.

On Monday morning, May 14, 2012, my wife, my children, my sister-in-law with her two children, and I attended the offering dowry from the bridegroom to the bride (Khmer Tradition).

We were there until 9:32am, then we came back our room. We were staying in the room and watch TV until 5:30pm.

My wife, my daughter, and my sister-in-law with her two daughters made up to attend the wedding at Pi Phop Thmey Restaurant (New World Restaurant). My daughter made up for her cousin, her auntie, and herself.

I took them to the New World Restaurant at 5:45pm. I have never been there before so that I asked the people around the Kuntheak Bopha Hospital to get to know where the New Word Restaurant is. They showed me the direction, so I could find it. It was raining at that time. The restaurant seemed quiet because there were some card that were parking there.

This photo was taken in a wedding hall.
I told them to go to the wedding party first because I were looking for a parking space. I took 5 minutes to part my car. When I eyes were glancing to the three wedding halls, I confused which one was the wedding party of my wife's relatives.

I walked directly to the first hall, then the second hall, then the third hall, but I didn't see my wife and my children because they all had entered the wedding hall. On the other hand, I didn't know her relatives clearly so that it was hard for me to determine the wedding hall.

I picked up my cellphone to call to my wife, but she didn't hear the ringing, for the sound was loudly. I called her five times, but she still didn't answer my phone.

The last decision was walking to the third wedding hall and asked them which was the relatives of my wife.

Luckily, I saw my wife went out of the wedding hall. It was the first hall which was started from the east to the west. I walked directly to my wife and entered the it with my wife.

Normally, there are 10 people to sit around the table to have meals. The table that my wife, my children, and my sister-in-law which were sitting was full. I had to move to the other table to sit with the participants. When the wedding party almost gone to the end, I took three photos of my son and daughter by my Iphone 4s to post on my website to show to all of my relatives especially my mother-in-law and my younger brother-in-law and my older sister-in-law living in the United States to see the wedding event.

My wife and I attended the traditional dancing at the wedding party about 5 minutes that we were rare to do it, but they are our relatives so that we would like to show our respect and welcome them.

Visak Bochea Day

After five days works from Monday to Friday, I have two days off. They are my precious days for me all for all BELTEI's staffs especially the full-time staffs who work from Monday to Saturday.

First of all I have gone to a coffee shop to have breakfast and a cup of coffee. In fact coffee isn't my favorite drink, I would like to meet my friends who are the same age or older than me.

We normally chat about the local and international news that have been taken place in the world.

I was there from 8:00am to 9:12am. Then I went to City Mall Supper Market where is near the National Stadium. When I entered it after I parked my car.

There are some people were sitting to surf the net at the Lucky Burger City Mall. I was one of them to do it. I used my IPad2 to surf my website and put down the events on it. This is hot season.

I took this photo in the morning in front of
BELTEI 8 (BELTEI Pochengton).
Therefore, the supper market is more popular because the temperature is so hot. It is about 34 or 35 Degree Celsius that make people are difficult to adapt it. People go to the supper market to have buy things or just have some drinks, for they need AC.

I ordered a beef burger and a can of light Coca Cola, and I sat there until 1:35pm. Then I went to the buffet at the third floor.

It is paid $7.90 per each. All the food such as vegetable, shrimp, meat, meatball, etc., are putting on the table with the oval shape moving so that I could get it without standing up to get them, or I can say it is the Japanese Style.

When I finished my lunch time, I went down to the ground floor and sat the to have a cup of coffee.

I was sitting there until 5:12pm. Then I came back home because I prepared to attend a birthday party with uncle Bun Chan (a Punloeu Chan Restaurant) where is near the Century Market near Pochentong area.

Here is a buffet at the third floor of City Mall
where is near Olympic National Stadium.
I got a call from uncle Bun Chan after arriving home about 5 minutes. He reminded me to attend the party.

I rushed to take a bath and changed my clothes, then I drove my car to my keep in my school (BELTEI 8 Campus).

I asked Mr. Ty Sophal, a security guard, to take me to uncle Bun Chan. It is about 200 meters from the campus to his home.

In his car (Land Cruiser) there were 5 people including me. The car moved to National Road #3.

The party took place in Uncle Bun Chan relatives
The party location is further than Division 70 about  (This division is kept tanks or the Supported Division).

Uncle Bun Chan started to sing a couple of songs with his wife, then all the honor guests were dancing together. Mos of dancing style is Khmer Traditional Dancing. I was also attending at that occasion, too.

We were there until 10:12pm. Then uncle Bun Chan took me home. It was the end of Visak Bochea Day.

I was dancing at a party of uncle Bun Chan's relatives.
Uncle Bun Chan's wife was wearing blue shirt.

Thursday, May 3, 2012

The International Labor Day was on Tuesday, May 2, 2012 so that all Cambodian people were allowed to have one day off. In the early morning, I have already done my housework before I left my room to have breakfast. I really don't want to go out side on that day, but the weather was so hot although I used fan. Therefore, I decided to to to Ratanak Plazza Supper Market at 8:30am.

I brought my Ipad 2 along with me to surf the net and read news in there. When I arrived there, it wasn't opened yet (it just started to prepare to sell). Hence, I asked the sellers the Wifi password for surfing the internet. I read BBC, CNN, AP, and all Khmer websites.

At 9:00am in the morning, the Ratanak Plazza Burger starts to sell fast food. I ordered a chicken burger, a light Coca Cola can for my breakfast. On that day, there were people to be there because they avoided from the hot temperature. I took my Iphone 4s to check the Local Weather in Phnom Penh. It was 35 degree C. I were reading the news until 1:25pm, for I didn't want to go out because of the hot weather.

I left Ratanak Plazza supper market at 1:45pm to go home. When I arrived home, the electricity was cut. It was unreasonable that the electricity cut while the weather was being hot. I took a bath and opened my door to reduce the hot temperature. Although I took a bath about 5 minutes, I was perspiring in shirt. I couldn't take a nap because of the hot temperature.

I was watching TV to kill  my time until 5:30pm. I took a bath again before going to Attwood to have something at KFC. I went to drink Italian coffee where is near the KFC in the Attwood zone to read new and a story on my Ipad. The title is Restoring Hope by Ruth Ann Nordin. There are 755 pages of this story. I spent  1 hour and 25 minutes for reading 92 pages. I left it and moved to Ratanak Plazza again at 6:55pm to have dinner there.

When I arrived there, there were a lot cars to part around the Ratanak Plazza. It was hard for me to find a parking space; hence, I was driving my car around it to glance around the parking space. Luckily, I found a parking space. I kept my car outside and walked in the supper market. I went to the second floor to have buy some meals to dinner. Suddenly, I saw Mr. Meak Sambath who is my friend. He is working at BELTEI 7 as a deputy campus director in charge of general education from grade 1 to grade 12. His wife invited me to have meatballs with them. I just nodded and I said, "No thanks". Then I walked around to see some people were playing games.

Walking around the second floor about 30 minutes, I went down to the first floor to have hamburger and juice to my dinner. Then I drove my car to keep in my school, and I walked to my home. I arrived home at 7:45pm. It was the end of International Labor Day.
