Third Day to Preah Vihear Temple

Sunday, September 11, 2011
At Division # 09

In the early morning, all BELTEI delegations had breakfast in the early morning because all the delegations that led by H.E. Hun Maneth would be reached at the base of the Preah Vihear mountain in order to meet the Royal Armed Force commanders such as General Kun Kim, who is a deputy of commander in chief of general staff of Royal Khmer Armed Forces of Cambodia.

In that occasion there were two deputy chief of general staffs of Royal Khmer Armed Forces of Cambodia as general four stars Kun Kim and general four stars Chea Dara who are in charge of the fighting zone of Preah Vihear Temple.

Before entering the Headquarter of Preah Vihear battlefield zone, all the delegations were waiting outside of the headquarter around 30 minutes because some of the delegations members not yet came.

H.E. Hun Maneth were chatting with my H.E. LY Chheng, a Director-General of BELTEI Group around 15 minutes before entering the headquarter.

After chatting with my H.E. LY Chheng, H.E. Hun Maneth led all of us to meet the two deputy commander in chiefs waiting us in side in order to show some events that had fought between Cambodia-Thai troops along the Preah Vihear zone.

We were invited to sit on the plastic chair in row in front of the office, and two wooden desks to put micro-phone on it for the two commanders to present the hot events that taken place in the battlefield.  I was sitting at the third row with my colleagues because I found that all the Cambodian people really want to know for sure about the invading from Thai troops on our land especially the Preah Vihear zone.

After having long speech about the battlefield, H.E. Hun Maneth led us to the division #9 to meet all the Cambodian troops who are permanent near the Preah Vihear Temple to prevent our land from the Thai troops.

Walking about 50 meters long, H.E. deputy of commander in chief Kun Kim allowed us to take pictures. We are BELTEI campus directors and one of the other from different university in Phnom Penh Cambodia were standing near him to take pictures.

We took 47 minutes to reach the division # 9. There were two platforms for the delegations to sit and listen to the valued speech from H.E. Hun Maneth.

My H.E. Director-General LY Chheng was sitting at the first platform near H.E. Hun Maneth, and we, campus directors of BELTEI were sitting at the second platform at the right side. In front of the two platforms there were troops and troops' families were sitting on the soil to hear the speech of H.E. HUN Maneth.

The speech took about 32 minutes, then H.E. HUN Maneth led the delegations members to offer the presents to the troops and their families who are defending our ancient temple (Preah Vihear) at the battlefield.

Third Day To Preah Vihear Temple

Sunday, September 10, 2011
At Preah Vihear Temple

In the early morning, we, the campus directors, got up at 5:30am. We took bath and prepared everything before starting the journey. Some of them and I went to a small restaurant in front of the guest house to take hot tea and breakfast. The restaurant's owner is a soldier working for division # 9. His rank is major.

When we were drinking tea there, H.E. a director of New York International School (NYIS) and his friends also entered it. About 15 minutes later, our H.E. Director-General arrived. We all had breakfast together. While we were having breakfast, H.E. Vireak Cheat, a president of Built Bright University in Phnom Penh, Cambodia (B.B.U.) has also had breakfast there.

We left it and drove to division # 9 where is located at Choam Ksan district, Preah Vihear province because the offering charity to troops would be held on September 11, 2011 at 9:00am.

On the way to division # 9, we were watching the scene with green forest and fresh air. When we arrived at the base of the Preah Vihear's mountain, H.E. Sieng Borath, a secretary of state and an adviser to Samdech Decho Hun Sen and H.E. Director-General of BELTEI Group stopped the convoy and told all the delegates whose cars haven't had the Capitas (it is able to move the first two wheels when the car get stuck on mud or the steep hill). There were two or three cars that weren't able to drive to the Preah Vihear hill; hence, they were waiting at the base.

The convoy started to go up to the hill of Preah Vihear Temple. We saw the new road was being constructed because the former road was so steep that why the government decided to make the new one. We found that the new road is easier than the old one, and the cars can drive to the hill without (capitas).

It rained when the convoy arrived the hill. All the delegates left the cars and walked to the Temple in order to see the oldest ancient Temples in Cambodia.

The delegates were visiting the temples that some part s of the temples were destroyed by artillery of Thai fugitives. I asked my colleagues to take some pictures where I was standing near the Preah Vihear sculptures which was harmed by the invasion from our neighbor.

When we arrived there, we are able to see the good view from the top of the hill. We can see the green forest, the snow, and the new road are being constructed. On the other hand, we can smell the fresh air with natural adore from the trees.

I took deep breath to take the rare good views that I have ever seen before. Moreover, I found that I were on the sky. I was thinking that if the weather was good at that time, we all could go to Ta Dy carve (Ta Dy is a name of Cambodian Hero. He devoted his life to jump from the Preah Vihear down in order to mobilize forces in order to fight against Thai troops).
We spent around 25 minutes to be there. Then, all the delegates
started their journey to division #9 in order to offer the charity to
our fugitives. H.E. Hun Maneth, a son of Samdech Decho Hun Sen,
led the delegates.

Second Day to Preah Vihear Temple

Saturday, September 10, 2011
at H.E. Hun Maneth Youth Camp

At 1:45pm the delegates were leaving the division # 42 to go to H.E. Hun Maneth Youth Camp in order to stay there for one night before starting the journey to Division # 09 where is located near Preah Vihear Temple.

The Cambodia Youth Camp was built for all Cambodian youths who would like to visit Preah Vihear to visit our troops who are defending along Cambodia-Thai borders. On the other hand, they also offer the charity to the troops. They could stay in there before leaving to Preah Vihear Temple because there wasn't any guest houses there.

For BELTEI campus directors were tired because we slept nothing at night at Siem Riep province except my H.E. Director-General. We were entertaining at one of Karaoke until 2:15pm, and we started the journey at 3:20pm; hence, we didn't sleep and we were exhausted, for we were afraid of the convoy left us.

Along the way to the youth camp, we were asleep on the car even though the roads were roughly. We sometimes woke up because of the car shaking from the left to the right side, and we continued our sleep.

We took around five hours to be there. When we arrived there, the gloomy day came. We saw a lot of cars to park at the camp. We got out of the cars and were looking for the parking space. Then we were walking to the camp where is far from the parking cars about 1300 meters.

The camp has been under the construction, and the rainy day was coming so that the arrow path was full of mud. All the delegates have to be careful to walk on it to the camp. Unluckily, one of delegates was fell on the ground because of the slippery road, but he wasn't wounded.

We spent 37 minutes to reach the camp. We felt surprise to see the constructions that were good looking. Around the camp, we could see big trees around it with the beautiful scenery as a green zone. I found that it will be a famous camp in Cambodia and also the place for people who love to visit there. It is not only Cambodia youth but also Cambodian people who would like to visit Preah Vihear to stay there because they can get fresh air and see the natural scenery.

The delegates entered the dinner hall that H.E. Hun Maneth called, "The Hundred Stars Hall" because that hall hadn't had the roof yet so that they could see the beautiful stars on the sky at night. On the table there were four dishes and sweet. Food was good for us because it was a kind of food as like as Phnom Penh capital. Because of taking long trip and exhausted, we couldn't eat a lot.

During the dinner time, there were two excellencies given speeches about the camp background especially the history of Preah Vihear Temple. The last speech with the meaningful was H.E. Hun Maneth. He called for all Cambodian people reunite in order to fight again the invasion comes from abroad and develop our country.

He noted that some of youth or students were attended the politic to against the government and pushed it to enter the civil war during the old generation. "We are Cambodian youth. We shall not follow the old generation to return and we shall not do something without critical thinking and push our country to enter the war again." he said. He also mentioned about our neighbor have invaded our country; hence, we have to reunite and against them. We shall not allow them to look down us anymore.

I took only some main points of H.E. Hun Maneth speech because I went to the bathroom, but it was full of the meaning and nationalism. I really love his speech. Moreover, he was also a student studying abroad so that he is able to bring the good points from those countries to develop Cambodia.

The dinner was ended around 11:00pm. Some of delegates were staying in the camp, and some of them were staying at the guest houses that have booked last couple days. My H.E. Ly Chheng, a director-general of BELTEI Group led us to stay one of a guest house. He rent five rooms. Two rooms for other delegates coming from New York International School (NYIS), and the three remaining for BELTEI delegates with 11 members.

Second Day to Preah Vihear Temple

Saturday, September 10, 2011
at division # 42

We left the division # 41 around 9:30am in order to continue the journey to division # 42 because the agenda of offering the charity would be held on the same day at 10:00am.

All the delegates rushed to start the journey in order to arrive on time. Unluckily, the time was passed quickly and the road were roughly and rained so it was hard to move fast.

The journey took around 3 hours to be division # 42, for the guide didn't know clearly the direction. We move forward and backward a couple times that was the reason why we took more hours to be there.

When we arrived the division # 42, all the delegates parked their cars and buses, and they walked to the platform where was near the Tamoan Thom Temple. The transportation moved backward because it is the blocked road.

At the blocked road, we are able to walk to the hill of the Tamoan Thom Temple where was the battle field blush between Cambodian-Thai troops.

Walking about 15 minutes, we arrived the platform, and we have heard the speech of division's chief, and the delegates who were led by H.E. Hum Maneth arrived before my convoy.

I felt tired so that I didn't go to the platform to hear the division's chief, H.E. Sieng Borath, and H.E. Hun Manet speeches, but I went to the house of a commander brigadier general Neak Vong to look for the rest room. I saw his wall was full of the part of mortars that were launched by Thai troops.

This was the place where he was talking on the phone to order his troops to fight against the invasion of Thai troops.

My colleague and I asked him for taking photos. I found that it was very important to take them with our hero who devoted his bloodshed and life to defend the country.

We, Cambodian people are very proud of him, and we strongly believe our troops that are led by Samdech Decho Hun Sen to against the invasion from Thai.

At the end of offering the charity from H.E. Hun Manet, all the delegates walked to Tamoan Thom Temple in order to visit our troops.

The hill is so precipitous. The residents said from the bottom to the top is about 750 meters long. I have taken a rest for three times to reach the temple. On the way, my colleagues and I took pictures with our soldiers who are defending there.

We were very tired to reach the top of the Tamoan Thom Temple. Some of the delegations took pictures with my H.E. Director-General because he is a president of CHEA.

We wondered that the Thai troops also stood in line when our delegations have reached the top of Tamoan Thom Temple. I found that they want to show us that this territory is belong to them. However, everything will be shown after the ICJ (International Court of Justice) judge and show whose the Tamoan Thom Temple.

They aren't the career soldiers. They just an obligation soldiers so that they don't have enough experiences to fight with Cambodian soldiers. They have no choice to be here. In fact they don't want to face with Cambodian soldiers. However, we shall not forget our duty and depend our territory because they will never forgot to invade our country since the old generation.

We always support our troop and the triangle strategy of Samdech Hun Sen to defend and develop our country. We still support food and materials that we are able to do to our troop unless the invasion of Thai troops is ended.

After visiting the Tamoan Thom Temple,

Second Day to Preah Vihear Temple

Saturday, September 10, 2011
at division # 41

After staying in a Holiday hotel the whole night, my H.E. Director-General Ly Chheng, ordered all the delegates to start the journey at 3:20am in the early morning because the convoys have to be there before  7:00am. We took long trip to Division # 41 at Anlong Veng district, Banteay Oudor Meanchey province.

On the way to division # 41, there was rainy and the road wasn't smooth that why the journey seemed difficult to move fast. On the other hand, the all the delegates (CHEA) haven't known the direction clearly and sometimes they moved backward when they knew that it was the wrong direction. However, we were happy because we all together have the same willing to visit our soldiers and offer charity to them.

It was the first time for me to be there; hence, I paid attention on the road and scene that the convoy was moving from one place to the others.

All the delegates were waiting for H.E. Hun Manet who led the delegation and also a honor guest at that occasion. We were watching the soldiers standing in raw with the good looking uniforms from the platform. They have discipline and listened to their commander were talking on the microphone.

When H.E. Hun Manet arrived at division # 41 around 9:15am, he was walking direct to Cambodia flag that was held by one of soldiers. Then he reviewed of troops before entering the platform.

First of all, the division's chief made report about the clash between Cambodia-Thai troops. Our soldiers are bravely in the battle field although the Thai troops are more than Cambodian troops and have modern weapons, but they aren't willing to fight in the battle field.

After giving the speech from division's chief, H.E. Sieng Borath also gave meaningful speech at that occasion. I quoted three main points that H.E. Sieng Borath pointed out about the development in the Samdech Hun Sen era, It means that we can't develop our country without our prime minister. The reunite of Cambodian people and troops to against the invasion, and H.E. Hun Maneth, the eldest son of Samdech Decho Hun Sen, is an intellectual who has educated abroad, will be a good leader in his generation.

The last H.E. Hun Maneth gave the meaningful speech that concerned with the invasion of Thai troops, and our troops have a conscience to defend the country especially at the Preah Vihear territory.

We were waiting for all the members of CHEA delegations there, and we started the trip at 1:15pm.

Before going to Division # 42, all the CHEA delegates have to stay at Siem Riep province for one night. We arrived there at 7:36pm, and we had dinner at one of a restaurants in Siem Riep town.
